“Great hostel with good deals”

I won't bother repeating the facts about EastSeven's cleanliness, quality, location etc. That's all great. I also really enjoyed that they sell giant cheap beers and had a garden in the back to relax in. Their breakfast was also well worth the money, especially because most of the shops around there don't open until 10am.

I stayed here in September 2013.

Tripadvisor was how I discovered East Seven, and the reviews were so good, I knew it had to be it.

I stayed for four nights, and I was very happy and contented in my stay. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, whilst at the same time the hostel is run very well by the staff. special mention to Chris, Nik and Ann. They do their jobs very well. Nik is a mine of information! ask him anything - he probably will know!

Day One, I visited the Berlin Wall museum, and walked around.
Day Two, I went to the Reichstag (free if you book online www.bundestag.de) worth the trip.
Day Three, I went on a Walking Tour of Potsdam Palace and Gardens (€15.00 day trip, not including your ABC ticket). Brilliant. Went to the B Flat Jazz club (free gig!) later that night. Excellent.
Day Four, I went for a nice shop browse around Prenzlaur Berg, and was blown away by the range and choice of new and second hand shops. Berlin is shoe heaven for ladies!

Day 5 (going home day) I picked up a few small things in the ALEXA shopping centre at Alexanderplatz.

TIP: Food is good value in Berlin. Local Beer is value too, and good. Radeberger is on tap.

Berlin, I will be back very soon!

Because of full bookings, we had to split our weekend there into 2 nights in a shared room and 2 nights in a private. Upon checking out of the shared room, the receptionist changed our room allocation to an empty private so that we could check into our private room straight away, which was brilliant!

There's a Pay-What-You-Want 4 hour walking tour from Brewer's Tours leaving from the hostel everyday and is definitely worth taking advatage of. I actually did it twice, first alone until my friend arrived, and found is so good that I told my friend she should do it too. We were both really impressed!

The rooms themselves are immaculate, the staff really friendly (and of course speak brilliant English, the showers hot and powerful (thank you Germany!), the atmosphere friendly and open, the breakfast cheap but plentiful, and in general a calm place to come back to after exhausting yourself for 24 straights hours clubbing in Berghain or wherever else in Berlin's endless nightlife. The awards and accolades are well deserved.

Es war ganz toll und würde da schon wieder bleiben.

Very friendly staff and our private double room was very simple but spotlessly clean, with a very comfy bed and pillows, more hotel standard than hostel. We were up on the third floor and it was very quiet, although the kitchen/living area was always busy and sociable. The shared bathrooms were immaculate and we never had to queue to use them - they seemed to be cleaned hourly! Really liked the location - convenient for transport but also lots of cool bars and nice cafes in the area. Highly recommend it.

We just got back from spending 4 nights in a private room with a shared bathroom.

Being right next to a U-Bahn station, and about a 20 min walk from the centre, the location is perfect. The area is so safe and it is completely fine to wander around even very late at night. There are also lots of vintage shops and cool bars and coffee shops near by.

On arrival you are provided with a map and a list of recommended bars and restaurants. we tried 5 of the recommended restaurants an were never disappointed or over charged. You also get free wifi which is very fast and free coffee whenever you please. Breakfast is only 2 euro and consists of tea/coffee, cereal, muesli, fruit and toast. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable about places to eat and drink and happy to help with any questions you have.

The rooms are basic but spotless, as are the bathrooms which are cleaned twice a day. You also never have to wait for a toilet/shower as there are many on each floor and normally the one closest to you is free anyway. Fluffy white towels are available to hire for only one euro.

Overall we had a fantastic experience at this hostel and can't wait to return soon!

Room Tip: ground floor rooms will be slightly noisier

We have just stayed with east seven for 9 nights, a repeat visit from 2011. We have also had family stay here on other occasions. We all rate this hostel very highly. Both times we have stayed in a private double room, which is quiet, and adequately furnished. Fast wifi that works in your room, even on the 3rd floor (but you need a new voucher every 2nd day). Very clean bathrooms and shared areas. The 2E breakfast is basic and good for days when you have planned a larger lunch elsewhere. Very secure, we have kept food and alcohol in the shared fridges with no problems. Close to u-bahn which gets you to alexanderplatz in 2 stops, or to Mauerpark market in 1. This trip we have explored the hostel area much more and have enjoyed trying lots of different restaurants and bars in nearby Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. About a 12E taxi from Watergate and other Kreuzberg clubs. I would highly recommend to travelling couples or pairs of friends, who like to have a clean, safe room, with all amenities available, in a safe and chic neighbourhood

Stayed here for 3 nights in a private double room. Comfy beds, great common area and kitchen. Breakfast was amazing value at only 2EUR. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Location is great; is near lots of little cafes and bars, and is only a 15min walk from the city centre, or right next to a U Bahn station.

Overall, a fantastic hostel!
