Ok it was a late booking 7 rooms , the photos seemed ok even the reviews .
I was told I had to pay for all the rooms in advance, I did, we had rooms that did not resemble the photos. I had a room with a bathroom down a service corridor right next to the kitchen, the noise was terrible, one of my team could not stay , I requested moving to that room as I had paid for it 1 hour of argument later I was allowed to stay in a room that I had paid for! One of my team forgot to hand in their keys, they wanted €150 cash not credit card , we were threatened, had to call police.
Finally accepted a credit card payment. My advice avoid this hotel at all costs.

Room Tip: There are none

Good location close to U-bahn and shopping alley. Rooms were ok, some pretty old-fashioned but clean. Apart from some noisy guests, sleeping was good.
Staff replied kindly but didn't solve any of the problems (broken window, broken bed). The choice for breakfast was limited but of standard quality. Bread freshly baked!!!
No wi-fi, no telephone in the room to contact reception. No hall.
Stairs were shared with people living in the same building, but OK.

This Hotel is very "Basic" and located near shops and restaurants. The Metro station is close to the Hotel and it's a plus. Rooms are regular, not too big, not to small, bathroom ok, reasonably clean. There are two entrances, the main one (where you can find the reception) and a second a few meters away. The personnel is not very professional but on the other hand it's very easy going so no problems.
If you're looking for a cheap Hotel in Berlin i would definitely suggest this one. Average price for a double room is €40 and the wi-fi will cost you 5 euros more, which is acceptable.

Prices-VERY low, we paid around EUR75 for a family room.
Location-a 5 minute walk from Adenauer pl underground station(U7), convinient to those who wish to take public transport to Shonefeld airport (you just take underground to the last station-Rudow U7 and interchange for a shuttle bus to the airport).
Rooms-very modest, but clean. Do not expect hairdryer\kettle\shower cap.
The building itself is over 100 years and this gives certain charm to the hotel (elevator is over 100 years, window handles are about the same age, etc)
Food-nice, my kids loved the breakfast.
Staff-very friendly and helpful, mostly Russian.
Ideal for one night budget sleepover.

For the low price you pay (EUR 40/single room) it is a bearable experience.

LOCATION - I really do not think that the location is good for exploring the rest of the city. The closest subway station is on the line, from which you have to change to get anywhere central and it takes time. For me it didn't work well. Also mind that the cheapest end of shops on Kurfurstendamm and KaDeWe is some 20-30 minutes away by foot from the hotel and you cannot go by subway there from your station. The surrounding area though is GREAT - very neat living district, Valentino and Gucci shops. Nice. Bus stop to Tegel airport is around the corner and it is 20 minutes by bus. Really comfortable.

HOTEL - the hotel is a little shabby, my room was very small and very plain. The slamming of the entrance door on the floor has woken me up during the night several times. BUT breakfast is very good for the hotel level.

I would advise to search for a hotel closer to the middle of Kurfurstendamm (next to K-damm subway station)
