We stayed here for four nights and were pleased with our stay. The hotel is in a good location near Anhalter Bahnhof and a short stroll from Potsdamer Platz. The room was basic but acceptable for a short stay. Breakfast was okay - nothing special but filled us up for a day of sightseeing! Overall, we'd a comfortable stay and would stay here again.

Stayed for three nights during a trip to Berlin in Nov 2008. Selected hotel based on value and ratings.

Pros: Decent location in the city and good value. Hotel was crowded with tours (may be a negative for some) but reception was pleasant and efficient. Fairly convenient to the metro system and the bus.

Cons: Very small rooms for an extended stay. Probably better locations in the city for accessing the sites at comparable value.

Overall, I would stay again but not before looking at hotels with slightly better location and room size.

I booked this hotel for my Berlin visit, based on the good TripAdvisor reviews, and once again wasn't disappointed. The hotel appears very new, everything's shining and clean. The room is minimalistic with just about what you might need for a short stay; the futuristic shower controls are like nothing I've ever seen, somewhat resembling a motorcycle's gas handles, with the water temperatures printed in centigrade... anyone who visits Berlin these days might think that the alien spaceships have finally landed, and this hotel is no exception.

Pros:
- Breakfast buffet with bread/cheese/cereals and coffee.
- Walking distance to the S-Bahn (Anhalter Bhf) and U-Bahn (Kochstr.) stations, plus a bus (M41) which goes to the central rail station.
- Friendly English-speaking staff. They even have a small sign in the room offering replacements for things you might have forgotten - toothbrush, razor etc. - which indicates a very positive attitude.
- Quiet, safe street.
- Convenience store across the street, ATM about 200m north. The Mexican restaurant by the S-Bahn station ("Morelos") was great.

Cons:
- The standard bed might be a little small for anyone over 180cm tall. The mattress was too soft for my taste.
- The only English TV channel is BBC World News, which has to be the most boring, repetitive, shallow news service ever. The German channels were much better (even though I didn't understand a word).
- There's only one chair and not much room for a second one - not to mention a table - so you can't really eat in.

Overall, this is a very nice hotel and I'd be happy to stay there again.

We recently stayed in this hotel and found it to be very clean and conveniently located near to the public transport system. The rooms we had were very basic, no frills accommodation which meant that there was no wardrobe as such and the double bed seemed very small indeed.

Breakfast at peak times was chaos with people queuing everywhere and standing around looking for tables so try to avoid the busiest times. Our biggest issue was with the guy on reception who came across as unhelpful and unfriendly. Every time we asked him something it seemed to be an effort and the information he gave us was often incorrect (the lady on reception however was fine and very professional so we quickly learned to wait until she was free if we needed any help or advice).

Overall good value but probably more suited to short-stay business users.

Stayed 3 nights in early Aug. Very impressed with hotel and staff. Hotel well placed for S and U bahn stations - 5 mins walk from both giving access to all popular Berlin tourist places. Buy Welcome Card for great value stay. Nice brekfast buffet but busy 8-9.30! Spoke English to reception staff and found them very courteous. Tip - try the 'Fat Tyre Cycle tour' under the TV Tower in Alexanderplatz - a great way to explore the City.
