We went here on a cold and rainy day. Inside, you can leave your coat in a supervised coatroom (you get a ticket) and then....explore!
You have different rooms/areas. The top floor is filled with real planes from WW II and later. There is also a floor on ships, engines of planes, railway, photography, etc, etc.
We were here for 5 hours and still did not see everything!!

For kids, it's great fun too, because you can touch lots of stuff and even climb in boats.

There is a small cafe on the ground floor, where you can buy drinks, ice cream and lunch.

The opening hours of the museum are very broad and the subway stop is only a short walk away.

This place is really massive and you can easily spend a day here. The planes and trains interested me the most. Outside there is a green area to walk one and is good to get some fresh air there. about 2 minutes walk from the closest U Bahn station. Children would love the place

Awesome museum, spent 5 hours in here and ran out of time to see everything, on a cold day in Berlin you can while away the time effortlessly here
From rockets to balloons , boats planes and trains, loads of working exhibits , great audio tour also
Would go back any day

Only thing is only one cafe by entrance and this place is huge so if you have kids maybe have lunch or be well fed before you go
10/10 to Berlin a great awesome museum

this is a huge museum that covers all modes of transportaion, a really nice collection of train engines and cars, great collection of flying machines, there is just too much to list, enjoyed to photograpy section - really enjoyed the whole museum. It is huge we were there a couple of hours and did not quite cover it all, and would like to go back a couple more times to enjoy it more fully.

The best museum in Berlin. Very interesting place for kids and adults. Even better than some same museums in the US. You need at least 4 hours to visit this perfect museum!
