Owner description: A harbored barge functions as a floating swimming pool right in the tradition of old riverside openair baths. Here you have an unique panoramic view of the river Spree, the Oberbaumbrücke and Berlin’s iconic TV tower. Besides bathing, the beach area around the Badeschiff has become an urban recreational area. During summertime we offer Yoga and StandUpPaddling courses and massage treatments. On top of that beach parties and music events take place on a regular basis. The Badeschiff has become a focal point of urban culture and entertainment for many Berliners at any time of the day.

A must try in berlin on a sunny day. Relax on the wooden deck in a relaxed industrial neighborhood. Only 5 euros entrance, a nice bar, abd great ambiance.

If you don't have a beach in your city, why not make one?
Badeschiff is a man-made beach on Spree river accompanied by a pool in the river. There are change rooms, showers, wooden decks, hammocks, lounge chairs, or you can bring your own towel to lie down on. There is a small bar on site, where you can get drinks and snacks.
There is a fee to enter (students get a discount) and the number of people that enter is restricted to avoid overcrowding. I suggest going earlier in the day, if the weather permits, because around 12 it gets really busy.

What a treat! We went in the dead of winter during a cold snap. It was a bit chilly getting from the lockers/change rooms to the actual "spa" as it requires you go outside for about a minute in nothing but a housecoat and slippers, but once you are in the covered deck/pool area you quickly warm up.

We warmed up in the saunas. There was both a wet and dry sauna. The wet sauna was full, so be prepared to sit right up to the person beside you. A young man came in and tended to the sauna with ice and herbs. He would put ice on the sauna and then proceed to whirl a towel above his head to circulate the air. Loved it! The best part was the no admittance after it started - no interruptions to let the hot air escape.

The pool was a bit too cold - but considering it is actually sitting in the middle of an ice filled river... it makes sense. But it was almost too much in contrast to the hot saunas. Swim to the end of the pool where there is a shallow ledge... we dipped under the divider to rest there and watched someone skate by!

The bar had a decent selection of drinks, however the food options were very limited. Some sort of more filling, healthy snack would have been great.

The novelty of being in the actual river Spree allows for a memorable and unique experience. By far one of my favourite memories of Berlin.

The incredible idea to build a pool with container is fantastic. It works perfectly. Of course there is a lot of people that wants to go there, but everything is very well organize there is a limit of persons that can be inside of the space and inside of the pool. It was really hot in that day so to go inside of the pool we stood in line around 35 minutes, but after it was so nice.
The entrance was 4 euros

Went with a few friends. A great experience. Cheap entry, only €3 as a student. Jumping into the pool was very refreshing! Around the pool are deck chairs and a beach area to relax in. A very cool experience and well worth going.
