I have been here a couple time and I enjoy the hour or I spend looking through the stands. Unlike Mauerpark, this flea market is more typical of what you would except for a flea market. There are more knick knack and schnick schnack peddlers and less fair trade vegan t shirt hipsters, which is a plus. There are only a few food options here, so unless you want a wurst or crepe grab some food elsewhere.

There are several specialized stands for things like jackets, buttons, ceramics, silverware, coins, or whatever else you need. Be warned though: not all the prices are reasonable. Know German numbers up to at least 20 in order to negotiate fairly. You will lose money if you only speak English.

If you love Paris Flea markets you will love this one. We took all three kids with us ages 16, 14 and 5 years old. There was enough eye popping trinkets to keep their attention.
Dad was occupied too with all the vintage tools, cool russian gadgets (vintage), typewriters and more.
They even had a handmade section of wonderfully handcrafted items like clothes, neckleces, bags and more. My daughter bought a tiny handmade fairy (see picture above).

There was even an onsite vendor selling CurryWurst. Something that all the guidebooks tell you to try when in Berlin. For under 20 euros the whole family was fed and mom and dad even had a beer.

All in all this is a great place to go with or without family. Warning, not all vendors welcomed me taking photographs. They usually put up signs saying no photos. When in doubt. Just ask or hide in the bushes with a telephoto lens. Just kidding on the hiding part. Bring lots of cash too.

It is smaller of the flea market in mauer park but you can find real bargains: Maissen and Swarowsky, and all other kinds of things.

Looking for at vintage bargain? I got a Burberry Trenchcoat in a very good condition, a Etienne Aigner jacket, a beautiful dress and a jacket a la Mad Men for 200 euro - so if you dont' believe you can find happiness in shopping, you simply dont' know where to shop ;-D
