Our daughter and son-in-law travel on a budget and booked Hotel Adam for the four of us for our visit to Berlin. For only 36 euro we didn't expect much. From the street this hotel is unimpressive, but once you get beyond the lobby, the remodeled rooms are large, pleasant and very clean; the room overlooked a quiet courtyard. Our private bathroom had been beautifully updated and decorated. The continental breakfast--an extra perk--was very satisfying. The owners obviously take pride in their business. Hotel Adam is only 1/2 block from the Bahn, 1/2 mile from a huge shopping area, and just around the corner from trendy restaurants and shops.

it's not Hilton, but for the it's excellent spot for shoestring budget travelling, it has excellent location and the breakfast buffet makes you wanna stay there forever, plus the rooms are clean and cosy

Hotel Adam is perfectly clean, in quiet surroundings, good connection to anywhere in the city (bus, S-bahn, U-bahn). The staff is competent and friendly. Breakfast is perfect. The price is unbeatable. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Do not worry to book a room without sanitary equipment. In this case, three rooms have common WC for...

Stayed here twice now when I've been doing budget trips to Berlin for art exhibitions. For 40 Euros a night (which is what I paid) you can't grumble. The rooms are clean and the breakfast good. For sure you can get bigger rooms and bigger breakfasts in Berlin but expect to pay three times the amount. Great location right next to Charlottenberg S Bahn station. Lovely cafe/bar round the corner where they do a great steak and bernaise sauce, called the Cafe Dollinger on Stuttgarter Platz.

Room Tip: All pretty much the same.

If you need a cheap hotel in Berlin this is a good choice. The rooms are somewhat quirky, but they are well heated, have comfortable, though small, beds, and are very quite. Breakfast was very good quality for a 2 star hotel, and there is free wifi. The hotel also has good transport links.

If you arrive by bus from Tegel airport, get off at the 2nd Charlottenberg stop. The first is about 20 minutes walk from the hotel !

You've heard the expression, "Location, location, location." Well, it really applies here. You are across the street from the Charlottenburg S-Bahn station, 19 minutes away from Tegel Airport by the 109 bus, across the street from a 24/7 Russian diner ("Café Rossíya"), and about a block away from the Buon Giorno Pizzeria on Kantstrasse, which make a huge bowl of Rigatoni Bolognese for 4.5 euros! The B&B is gemütlich (i.e. homey), and it includes breakfast, which I never tried. My room with private bath cost $55. The neighborhood is a mix of Turkish, Asian, German and Russian, with a gigantic, half-block long Asian supermarket across the street. The hotel has excellent wi-fi for free. Will definitely go back. Also go to the Tourist office at the Main train station (4 stops away on the S-bahn) and buy a 3-day museum pass ("Lustschau"), which gives you free admission to about 60 museums in a three-day period - cost: $27 (20 euros). A five-day transpo pass for the city is $38/28 euros and well worth it. Come here and have fun.

Room Tip: The hall had a mouldy smell - be sure to ask for one not near that. I was in Rm. #8.

This hotel was just what our small group of adult students needed: a place in Berlin that was a "real hotel" (as opposed to a hostel or traveller place), with good accessability to the city and the sites, offering a decent breakfast included and all for a very reasonable price. Everyone was happy ...well, one pair said that there was a bit of a smell of smoke from their room, that's all. Booking was easy via e-mail, paying on arrival suited us perfectly. The lovely castle of Schloss Charlottenburg is within walking distance and proved a good starting point for us on early arrival and waiting for all the rooms to get ready. It is almost right beside the S-bahn station that gets you into downtown really fast, the metro -U-Bahn is just down the road, the airport bus stops right at the front door -only EUR 2.30 single. All very handy.

Room Tip: Some are cheaper with shower in the corridor.
