Built around 1870's and shfted to the current location of Tiergarten somewhere in 1920's the Victory Column is certainly a site not to be missed.

Right after the Brandeburg gate the Vicoty column is the next stop on the hop on hop off bus. Please ensue that you pay the entry fee of minimal 3 euros and climb atop the tower to get a mesmerising view of the Berlin city - You won't regret it.

Stunning visual that anchors the entire city. Put the zoom lens on, and appreciate the golden beauty of the winged statue on top.

if you are at the Brandenburg Gate you can look down the Street of the 17th of June (away from the Pariserplatz) and you can see the victory column . After a short and pleasant walk along the tree-lined avenue you arrive at this huge column commemorating the Prussian victories that is topped by a golden winged victory. Stunning.

The Column is huge. We walked down to it from the Gate. Once you hit the big traffic circle, you can take tunnels (like subway tunnels) under it to emerge at the base of the Siegessaule. You are also allowed to climb up the monument a bit for better views. Very impressive place. The walk is nice too--however it is farther than it seems.

Well worth a visit to the commemoration, but also for the walk up to it.

The view from the column is all the way to Brandenburg Tor, a pretty special view.
