“Take a breath and climb. It is worth it !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2014

If you drop by the Victory Column do not miss to enter the place.
A small museum leads you to a long, narrow stairway that brings you to the top platform with excellent opportunity to admire the panorama of Berlin. Take a look, make pictures, learn about the column's history. It is worth devoting your time to it !

“Great Photo Op and History Museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2014

For a small entry fee there is a museum on the ground floor. The museum is reach by underpass.

The stairs are quite a feat to accomplish. Don't even try if you are not in average shape. Some good views can be afforded here but you will have to have a decent camera with a zoom, be able to aim through the fence, and have a clear day. Otherwise a trip to the top may not really be worth the exercise.

On hot days this might be exactly what you shouldn't do.

The exterior is very interesting with it gold flake and texture. Having time where you can catch sun rays or some dusk color will make great photos of this landmark.

“Breathtaking views-but a lot of stairs!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2014

It is pretty out of the way from most of Berlins attractions, apart from the botanical garden, however it is easy and cheap enough to get a bus there to avoid a 30-40 minute walk along the beautiful boulevard. The tower itself is beautiful, and if you go inside (for a small fee) there is a mini-museum about the history of the tower, but also what feels like a million stairs to climb to the top of the tower. It is definitely worth it as you look around and can see all of Berlin.
