We (2 adults + 1 10yo child) visited as part of a "berlin cafe tour" in end of March. The place looks pretty cool and is divided into 4 zones (French, American, British and the Russian). As there were no space in the Russian sector we sat in the American sector. Quite nice little quirk. Outside seating was primarily made up from modified pallets which looked ok. To get here is simple and this is located at one end of the Mauer Memorial Park. We ordered coffee and saft (juice) + 2 slices of cake. One the menu it shows 4 different cakes, but only 2 were available. The cakes felt as if they were of the kind that last for weeks. Not excellent. Service was so so. Quite a few Germans were here when we visited so we presume it was popular among the local population. Oh, and if you visit on a weekend you can walk to the Mauer Park/Stadium afterwards where there is a huge flea market.

Six of us visited this cafe as it was very near our accommodation. It was the only negative experience of our whole trip to Berlin. To be clear - our waitress was very friendly and helpful but the problem lies with the food and attitude of management. The food took a long time to come out and when it did finally arrived only one dish - the sandwich - looked as it was described on the menu. The food was terrible. Lots of elements of the dishes were missing and some of the food looked like reheated leftovers. We tried to rectify this but to no avail. We were seated beside the kitchen and we witnessed numerous different men who seemingly worked there/owned the place walking in and out of the kitchen carrying odds and ends of food. We complained again to our waitress upon receiving the bill and refused to pay for two out of the six dishes and after a couple of trips outside the building to speak to the manager (a man sitting on a pallet smoking a cigarette!) the waitress eventually broke down crying and said that her boss said she would have to pay for the dishes that we were refusing to pay for out of her wages! We paid in full and left but this appalling treatment of staff and the poor quality of the food makes this place ONE TO AVOID!

This cafe may look inviting but I would not advise anyone to eat here. The food was awful. I went there with 6 of my friends while visiting Germany for a weekend all 6 of us were angered at the food we were served. The food did not come out as described on the menu and we felt unwell afterwards. The waitress who served us however was lovely but we got no satisfaction from the owners or the kitchen when we complained. This is not good enough. Do not eat here!

nice place to visit and very close to another fine Mauer exhibition at a point where No Mans Land kept so many friends and families apart.

We went here after visiting the wall memorial, having had a tiring morning. It is Turkish owned so doesn't serve alcohol, but they do serve amazing freshly squeezed (not fresh out of a bottle like you get in Fawlty Towers and practically everywhere else in the UK) orange juice. We each had a tomato pasta dish, which was very fresh and tasty. If you are in the area and want a quick lunch, its a great place to go. Oh, and they have a brilliant diorama of the Checkpoint Charlie tank standoff in miniature
