nice place to visit and very close to another fine Mauer exhibition at a point where No Mans Land kept so many friends and families apart.

“Nice little cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2013

We went here after visiting the wall memorial, having had a tiring morning. It is Turkish owned so doesn't serve alcohol, but they do serve amazing freshly squeezed (not fresh out of a bottle like you get in Fawlty Towers and practically everywhere else in the UK) orange juice. We each had a tomato pasta dish, which was very fresh and tasty. If you are in the area and want a quick lunch, its a great place to go. Oh, and they have a brilliant diorama of the Checkpoint Charlie tank standoff in miniature

“Worst Lunch Ever”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

Located near the Bernauer U-Stop, which is the start of the Memorial of the Berlin Wall, it has a prime location to take advantage of the high tourist traffic. Unfortunately it's prime location did not also translate into a good lunch time meal. My kids ordered grill cheese sandwiches which when they finally arrived weren't even fully cooked with much of the cheese in the center still unmelted. I had ordered a potato dish expecting a typical pan fried German potato dish and ended up with a huge baked potato, with the center still uncooked, slathered in a sort of herby sour cream type sauce. All in all this was the worst meal that we as a family have had in the almost two weeks that we have spent in Berlin. I would give this café a wide berth as there are so many excellent restaurants in the city.
