The rooms are fairly small, but the hotel is nice overall. The hotel is quite new, and looks phenomenal. Each of the staff we dealt with were friendly and very responsive to our requests. The location next to U-Bahn Wittenbergplatz is quite convenient with lots of food options nearby.

This is a brand new hotel, having opened in June 2013. It is well located two minutes from Wittenbergplatz U-Bahn and about 15 mins from the Zoo station. There is nothing exciting nearby (which is the main reason why this is only 4 not 5 stars as a review), but it is easy to get to places that are.

The hotel is typical modern ibis: the same size rooms you would expect; the same comfort level you would expect. But water pressure is excellent in the shower room and comfort could not be beaten. Blackout blinds really helped sleep. Breakfast was cheap and reasonable. Very hard to fault!

The Ibis Kurfurstendamm hotel is not at the street of this name but close enough to walk there in a few minutes. Perhaps even more important is that the Wittenbergplatz metro/Ubahn station is only opposite the street. The U-Bahn lines from there give a fast, frequent and direct connection to important areaes of the Mitte, like the Potzdammerplatz and Alexanderplatz. By booking early we could have single rooms for a nice price. Strangely however, the two persons of my travel company (myself and my son) got rooms on different floors which is not very handy. A minor shortcoming of this 'value for your money' hotel. Also, traffic noise or other disturbations were absolutely minimal in the rooms which is reflected by good sleep quality. It is a bonus when visiting such a busy city with so many attractions!

Located at 200 m from KaDeWe, sort of Harrods of Berlin, Ibis Kurfurstendamm is the latest Ibis opened in Germany and...possibly in Europe. The design of the reception is somehow futuristic, a blend of minimalist art and projected images, employees are efficient and very helpful and prices, if you book in advance would make you cry...they are really low (at least if you compare them with the prices of Paris or London for the same hotel category...not quality). Hopefully the manager of the hotel will keep things in good shape and will create a good working atmosphere for its coworkers. The only comment I have for them is that they have to improve the breakfast facilities...if you will meet a huge group of hungry people, wanting to eat at the very same time...well, you will have to wait 15-20 minutes, minimum. There is still place to accommodate food outside the initially designated area.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing KaDeWe...they are more spacious compared to the opposite rooms.
