“Great food”
Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Pleasant atmosphere, great location in the Mitte, and the food was super! Qualifies as a high class restaurant and not some cheap street food. Had a very positive experience

“Great decor, good food, probably the most comfortable restau in Berlin!”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

We had a great night at Pantry, food was good, a little slow but worth the wait. The staff could have been a little more helpful but overall the night was lovely. The decor was really interesting, we sat by the pony deco wall and the music was notably tasteful and perfect volume. I had the fish, but the veal cheeks are my favourite, they get A for texture, taste and presentation. Add this to your list of trendy spots in Berlin, reasonably priced and centrally located.

“Great spot for food and comfort”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

I have been to this spot a few times on visits to Berlin. The food is consistently good, as I always try different elements of the menu as well as trying from the plates of my dining partner. I love the decor, which was obviously well thought out and required a budget. Nicely done but not pretending to be ueberfabulous. We will always go back at some point during a visit to Berlin.

“Glad to see this place is now on Tripadvisor!”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

We visited Pantry in December on a trip for New Years Eve and all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We stumbled upon this place by accident as it was newly opened when we visited but we were very glad that we did. The food was delicious, the service attentive and the restaurant had a great atmosphere.

Sadly I can not remember exactly what we all ate but I kept the card from the restaurant as I wanted to ensure it got a review!

Would definitely return if I was to visit Berlin again.

“A great last night in Berlin”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

- Very friendly, attentive staff- very happy to recommend good wine from the list. Brilliant hospitality and excellent English.
- A pleasant mix of locals and tourists.
- Delicious food (perhaps this should have come first..)- we shared the tapas plate to start, which provided fresh seafood in a variety of forms; oyster, prawns and squid accompanied by a shredded pork croquette- all perfectly cooked, and well balanced. Home-made bread was also provided, with an interesting but tasty addition of tandoori butter. For the main course, we opted for free-range lemon chicken with potato croquettes and steamed veg, and the 'Two-Hundred and Twenty' entrecote steak with mushrooms and thick-cut chips. The chicken was very tender, with lots of flavour. The steak was excellent, very flavoursome and cooked well. The sauce that accompanied the steak, I can't recall quite what it was, provided a perfect balance. We were too full for pudding!
- Great German white wine as picked by our host, and also a tasty Argentinian red washed down the beef.
- We also drank two Hendrick's gin and tonics- nicely presented with cucumber- and a mojito, well mixed and not too sweet.
-The decor was comfortable and not overbearing, and contributed to a warm and friendly ambience.

Discovered by chance, this restaurant provided a great last night in Berlin; the food was delicious and was accompanied well by the drink, the hospitality fun and friendly- cannot fault the Pantry. Please go and see for yourselves, you won't be disappointed.

* One word of caution- the restaurant only accepts cash, so come prepared/ be prepared to walk 100m down the road to the ATM.
