“A hidden gem”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

In a beautiful old neighborhood of Berlin, near the Alte Synagoge, there is a charming little coffee shop that simply calls for grandmothers to take their grandchildren to hot chocolate with whipped cream, for friends to enjoy a "Kaffeeklatsch", or romantic couples to whisper sweet nothings over scrumptious central European and Italianate sweets. The owners being an architect, a diplomat and an artist (so says the menu), the space is beautifully decorated with something modern, something old, something artsy, something gold.
The prices are lower than elsewhere and the cakes can also be ordered for delivery. Apart from the wonderful Berlin museums, this will be top of the list for my next visit.
