It is not Italian, it is European. Almost German.

For me Italian restaurant is the restaurant where Italian food served in Italian manner (theatrical, expressive way) in Italian interior. Restaurant Gabriele has none of it, save wines from Italy.

Some figures first:
- set food menu (Menu Gabriele) - 89 Euro per person;
- set wine menu ( Weinbegleitung Menu) - 59 Euro per person;

Food itself was quite good, but it was not Italian neither in taste, nor in style. I would call it European. If the same set menu was served in "French" or "Austrian" or "German" it would be "french", "austrian" or "german" respectively.

Wines are not bad, especially if you ask the bottle to be opened in front of you, so you could have "fresh" wine. Amarone was wonderful (not included in the set wine menu).

Service. Local youngsters in Gabriele are far cry from Italian "maestros" of service. Italian service is a theater, a show, an entertainment. You will see nothing of it in Gabriele.

Interior design. There is no design at all. If someone removes the table clothes, this place becomes an office. Bring the table clothes back and this place becomes American steakhouse or French "bistrot".

I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for real Italian restaurant.

This is a serious restaurant and the kitchen delivers beautifully presented food, most of it excellent, but there is inconsistency and not all dishes have the wow factor that should be expected at these prices. The restaurant can not be accessed directly from the hotel and finding the entrance is a challenge as it involves going out on the street or a trek through the hotel garage. The dining room is elegant and first impressions were good. However, service was haphazard, some dishes were delivered to the wrong person, expensive bottled water was poured after we asked them to stop and we could not get the bill until we stood up and got ready to leave. The good news is that lots of 'free' extras are delivered and they are all excellent, the female diners even get a leaving gift, but sadly the men do not! The wine list is extensive, mostly Italian with a few German bottles, but is very expensive. It is necessary to look hard to find the few affordable bottles. Overall, Gabriele is s good, but expensive restaurant that is let down by some lapses in service.

We went to Berlin during Christmas holiday and realized that we hadn't thought about where to eat on Christmas evening - and didn't know the opportunities in Berlin very well. After looking at trip adviser we decided to try out Gabriele - and what a great surprise.

The restaurant has a very cosy interior, the atmosphere was very romantic and the service from the waiters superb. Most off all - the entire menu was fantastic. We had a 6 menu course combined with the wine menu - and what a menu !!! We really enjoyed all courses – from the way they were presented on the plate to the fantastic taste. And in top of this we were given a Christmas gift from the restaurant.

So we can really recommend Gabriele for a special evening out. It was really a fantastic evening....and we went home satisfied and well catered for .... and with a lot less money on our account. But the money was well spent on this. But after all - it is only Christmas once a year...

Had the worst time on Felix on the 2 of may. We booked dinner-tabel and a party-table at Felix,
but right after dinner the manager at Felix came to our table and told us we had 1 minute to leave our table because someone else had booked it.
They were really rude and just told us the would kick us out if we didnt move immediately. They were realy disrespectfull. One of the doormen also punched my friend in the stomach.
Then they moved us upstairs to a small,bad table that didnt have enough space for all uf us. And then we had to drink for at least 250 euro. Can you believe that. We had already spent 600 euros drinking and eating, but they treated us

with no respect.The food is no good either. For such a crapy table you shouldnt have a minimum spending limit.

The nightclub looks cool but when you have such a litle respect for you customers than I wouldnt recomend this place to anyone.
Dont go here!!!

Club-Restarant in the back of Hotel Adlon. Turns into a club after dinner. Food is ok, party is great.
