Hotel is clean and looks good when you arrive. Staff are friendly and helpful, and if you ask for advice at reception, they will assist you. Buy bus/train/underground tickets from them. Day tickets are very good value as they can be used for all types of transport.
We were told that some rooms are small - ours on the 6th floor was enorrmous! It had loads of space around the large bed, a desk and chairs area and a really lovely walk-in shower. Heating was rather strange as it seemed to go on and off at the will of someone controlling it somewhere unseen. But we never felt really cold so it must have been effective. You may need to ask for more pillows as there was only one very solt pillow per person on the bed and no others anyone in the room. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but if you want black tea (breakfast tea) then take some with you or buy it in the excellent Netto supermarket next door. You are mainly given fruit teas in the room.
Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of hot and cold items on the buffet. Good coffee is served in large jugs and you may need to hunt for it as it tends to be left on various tables.
We did not eat dinner in the restaurant, but those who did said it was good but expensive, but then most hotels restaurants are. There is a very good Vietnamese restaurant across the road, which serves wonderful food and is priced very reasonably. There is also an Italian restaurant nearby but the service was awful and price steep for what we ate.
A good location for travelling into Berlin centre. The bus stop for the 100 bus is across the main road. This bus goes to all the major tourist attractions, and connects easily with the 200 service which covers the others. Buses are frequent and clearly display names of stops before you get to them. Hotel is also close to an underground station if you prefer to use that.
