“As perfect as you like”

I have just come back from a 4 night stay in the hotel eithbmy girlfriend and what can I say? Well the staff were all very approachable, spoke very good if not fluent English and helped with any query we had, even when checking in at 11pm. The hotel is on a central road just about 4/5 minutes walk to checkpoint Charlie, and there is an underground station just outside for easy access if you plan to go further afield or if your legs can't take anymore - believe me after a few days walking mine couldn't.. I felt very safe around the hotel and Berlin in general

The breakfast served in the hotel was excellent, choice of teas or coffee and fresh juices or water, food wise there was everything from bacon and eggs, sausages and meatballs to cheeses and salad, a selection of fresh fruit bowls - pineapple and melon or a fruit salad, yoghurt was available again your choice of a strawberry, peach or natural, there were also crossaints and cereals on offer.

The room that we stayed in was on the 8th floor and was more than spacious enough, incorporating a free minibar which was restocked daily, free wifi access, tv with various channels although most channels were in germanand a large double bed

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, I couldn't find a single fault with it while we were there.

Our travel agent recommended this hotel and after checking on line reviews, said okay. We experienced a mixed bag and would rate this a 3 1/2 only because of the service. On the plus side, the service was excellent and the breakfast was very good (loved the fresh-squeezed OJ). On the not so plus side, was the location and needing to change rooms. Our first room on the first floor did not have a safe or iron so we switched to another room on the second floor. This was a decent size but had two double beds. The next night we moved to a smaller room -- but with one larger bed -- for the remaider of our stay. If staying when there is an evening wedding, unless you like noise, make sure you're on an upper floor. Our rooms all looked out on to what we think was a student apartment complex. This hotel is located a short distance from Checkpoint Charlie (which is totally uninteresting) so plan on taking the metro (which is close by) most places you'll want to visit. There is not too much in immediate walking distance except the Jewish Museum (which is definitely worth a visit).

Room Tip: Upper floor which is quieter

I was nervous about staying at this hotel after reading some bad reviews on this site. Because of this I emailed the hotel a few days in advance, informing them that we wouldn't be arriving until 11pm because of our late flights and to make sure our room would be available to us then. When we arrived the man at the desk was expecting us, he was lovely and friendly and spoke fluent English. The room was lovely, and the maid kept it spotless every day. The fridge was stocked with soft drinks and a beer every day, which were all free. Plenty of towels, pillows and blankets were provided, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. The only thing I could perhaps fault is that the double bed had two single quilts. Personally I found that nice, after a day of walking round I didn't have to fight my boyfriend for any quilt during the night! There were parties in the ballroom every night of the weekend, but signs were up in the lifts warning of this every morning from before breakfast so you're kept well informed. We were on the second floor, could hear the music a little but it wasn't loud enough to distract us or keep us awake, and the parties were finished by 1am every night, which was around the same time we were coming back. The one night we went to bed early though, the party wasn't loud enough to keep us awake, and after walking around all day we would've slept through it anyway! They looked after our cases for us after we checked out because our flights weren't until late, and the staff helped us during the week when we needed help finding some markets. The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it! All of the staff had very good/fluent English, and the hotel itself is right next to the underground station, less than 5 minute walk to Checkpoint Charlie, and the area feels very safe, even late at night. It's a great base for exploring Berlin, I'd stay there again happily, and will definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: I'd say if you're a light sleeper go on a higher floor, but I didn't think the music was...

Just spent 7 nights here as part of a package booked with Easyjet. Close to Check Point Charlie, the Jewish Museum, the Stasi Museum and the City Centre. Very good accommodation and breakfasts, with very helpful staff. It was the perfect base for our Berlin holiday and I would be more than happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 7th floor towards the back and was so quiet! We could have been in the country!

with wife and friends we took 2 adjacent rooms on the 8th floor in what is a modern hotel beneath a much older facade, so all things work - good fast lifts, large clean rooms with good storage, quiet air-con, nice bathroom, large TV which is good to practice your German as only 2 English speaking news channels, and a daily restocked for free fridge with a beer and fruit juices. Breakfast was help yourself and very tasty and all the staff were faultless being very polite and attentive. We didn't dine in the hotel as we noted another reviewer's comments and tried the Dos Mares Paracas,, just 400m down Friedrichstrasse, and were hooked, went back another 2 times, and for a change found Restaurant Yasmin, around the corner in Wilhelmstrasse, again very good. We booked through Expedia and via Quidco so a good deal and cashback, and would definitely consider this hotel when we return in a couple of years when hopefully most of the city's building work is complete.

My fiancée and I booked into here last November for a weekend in Berlin. Great location, fantastic value for money and a lovely hotel.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice and plentiful.

We would definitely stay there again when we visit Berlin.

Very well located, clean, good Internet services, reasonably priced, great bathroom...only complaints is that food is expansive and not good (but there are plenty of options around) and service is unequal, par of the staff is extremely is sympathetic and go to extremes to help, and some are exactly the opposite. Quality place, without unnecessary luxuries. Recommended.
