“Conveniently located and yummy breakfast”
Reviewed October 11, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here with my parents for 4 nights. Short walk to U bahn Samariterstasse then only 5 stops to Alexanderplatz.
Breakfast was great, buffet with lots of choice.
Room was clean and bed comfy.
The lack of wifi was annoying especially as they advertise it all over the hotel.
Would stay here again and highly recommend it.

The Hotel was visited for field trip: great location in an authentic street, 5 minutes walking distance from the U-Bahn. Upon arrival, the Reception staff didn't come to scratch, but they were very helpful and kind. The hotel has got simple, but very clean rooms - special praise to the housekeeping staff - with new furnitures. It should be noted that the beds are too soft for all of us. Breakfast (included in the price) was surprisingly good. It should compliment the coffee machine (use real milk) and you can have smoothies for breakfast. On the last day morning the waiters got off work because the teamwork was broken up. The refill of the breakfast buffet took a long time.

All in all it is great hotel and really has value for your money.

Tip: Don't miss to visit Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg District if you would like to eat a good meal. It is just a few blocks from the hotel.

Took my family to this hotel having stayed there previously when meeting friends. Hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The hotel is excellent value for money possibly due to it's location which is well outside of the centre of Berlin. Saying this we were only a five minute walk to the nearest underground station. The area around the hotel has many good bars and eating places within a 15 minute walk.

A very nice hotel, which has been renovated very recently, with clean, comforable rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included (not quite as nice as at "normal" Ibises but there it costs extra). Nice to have free wifi. Very handy for the U-Bahn - Samariter Strasse is just around the corner. For Schoenefeld airport I would recommend getting the S-Bahn to/from Frankfurter Allee, which is only about 10mins walk.
The neighbourhood is a little off-putting at first - a lot of graffiti, a squat, a few beer drinkers sitting around on corners- but everyone seems harmless and a look out of the hotel windows at the flats overlooking the courtyards shows you this is an up-and-coming area. It's a proper Berlin residential neighbourhood, in fact, with good local shops, bars etc.

Nice new hotel, excellent service, very good breakfast, clean. Soft bed. If will go to Berlin next time, will stay at this hotel one more time. Very good location, 2 minutes to metro, 5 stops to center. Near shops and restaurants.

The exterior has been renovated, so no longer hard to find, as mentioned in previous comments. I felt perfectly safe in the local area and in the hotel - as a single traveller, safety is vital for me. The hotel staff, especially reception, were very polite, welcoming and helpful. I asked reception several times for directions/transport options and they were really helpful. Good breakfast. Free tea & coffee area at reception. I took a travel kettle, as I knew tea/coffee wasn't available in the room. I would stay there again. Don't be put off by the graffitti in the area - it's very very common in Berlin. There are local shops, though I didn't need to use them. The hotel has bicycle hire too.
