The concept here is modern German food, a light modern take on German classics. We went there for a birthday meal, and it was very good indeed. Sat outside on the small terrace and were served by very friendly waiters.

I had the Pike-Perch, a German classic, with braised gherkins, a warm potato salad and a riesling butter sauce with dill. It was all delicious, very different and had been cooked with great thought - the dish was light and the flavours shone through.

We followed this with a selection of outstanding German cheeses - hard or impossible to get in the UK - and every bit as distinctive as French or British cheeses. They came with home made mustard fruits, nuts, dried tomatoes, olives and bread.

The wine list is extensive and had a lot of German wines that would be hard to find outside Germany.

Excellent overall, and the bill was far less than expected given the quality of the food.

We had a lovely time at this restaurant. We had reserved a table in advance and our waitress Naomi had sorted out a lovely table for us by the window but also said that if we wanted to sit outside then that would be no problem and she would sort out a table for us there. She offered us sparkling wine while we read the menu. The food was excellent - we tried the Wiener schnitzel and would highly recommend it. When we chose a white wine she suggested we try one of the German wines on the wine list and brought us a little to taste. Naomi was so friendly and accommodating throughout the meal. I would definitely go back to this place again. Thank you Dreigut for a lovely time!

Its clear that when you come here that the people running it are focused on creating interesting dishes with unique combinations of flavours, and for that it certainly is a memorable experience. The staff were lovely, the food excellent and I would recommend this to anyone looking for contemporary cooking at a very kind price that wont set you back too much.

Served by friendly staff in nice surroundings. Well worth trying for something just that bit different but still recognisably German.

My girlfriend and I ate here after finding the place on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. We had a three course meal with tomato soup, a salad and chicken. All three dishes were delicious. The restaurant is nice and clean. The only thing keeping us from giving a top score is that we felt a bit neglected towards the end of our stay, in contrast to the very service minded attitude we met when we first got there.
