“Beer is Ok, but don't touch the food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2012

The menu is very limited, but the kitchen is not able to cook even those.

We ate some sausages and one sausage salad. The salad was worst I've ever got - there was a lot vinegar (probably like a sauce) and you can imagine that slices of sausage and vinegar is not the best combination. I could not eat it. The traditional curry wurst was not even close to the best ones either, because the sauce was almost pure ketchup without any curry taste. The normal bratwursts were OK, because there was not any sauce to spoil them.

The beers were not that good either - meaning that it is not the reason to visit there either.

“Best beer in Berlin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2012

Each time I come to Berlin, I go at least once to Brauhaus Spandau. Probably there are some places in Berlin where you can find better beer, but I haven't found any.
This place is a brewery not only by name, but they really make beer there by their own recipes, and the tables are placed around two huge copper boilers. Apart from two standard sorts: light and dark beer - each month they brew some special sort.
The service is very friendly.
The food is rather simple, which perfectly matches for beer restaurant, but very delicious. The traditional dishes, which you can find elsewhere in Berlin, say X-large Currywurst or Home-style Herring fillet, but they are prepared really at their best.
