My wife and I found Harald on-line and were persuaded by the remarkably enthusiastic reviews that we should hire him as a private guide. Here's another, equally enthusiastic review. He asked us (in advance, by e-mail) a lot of questions about our interests in general and if we had any special interests in things to see in Berlin and surroundings. He then designed a tour with those interests in mind. We went back and forth a few times and came up with two half day tours and one full day tour that suited us (we were in Berlin for two weeks, mixing business with tourism, so we had some time). The tours were superbly panned, Harald's depth of knowledge about each of them and his spoken English were first rate. The Mercedes cars he used (with a separate driver) were very comfortable and safe. If you're looking for a superb private guide (always our preference), you'll not find a better one in Berlin. Harald and his company are first rate.

As I am considering moving to Berlin, I requested Harald show me different neighborhoods as well as city sights. He did this with considerable insight into what might be suitable, was an outstanding guide pointing out historical information along the way, and is thoroughly professional. As a long time travel consultant, I highly recommend Harald Zawuski whatever your interest may be. You will not be disappointed!

When we came to Harald Zawuski with an unusual request, he was willing to work to accomodate us without any hesitation. We were a group of 20 teens with a 20 hour layover in Berlin at the conclusion of our trip, and we decided to make the most of our limited time in Berlin. Harald was able to provide us with 2 fantastic, comprehensive tours of the city - a 2 hour evening bus tour followed by a 2 hour city walking tour the next morning. Harald met our group at the airport and led us the entire time - his knowledge of the city and the history of the city was fantastic - he was able to weave in Jewish history from WWII as well as Berlin history from the Cold War, and answered all of our questions, which left many of us wishing we could spend more time in Berlin! Harald did a fabulous job of fitting as much in as he possibly could with our limited time. Thanks for a memorable experience Harald! We definitely recommend him for future visits.

Our group of 20 teens had a 20 hour layover in Germany and so we booked two tours with Harald Zawuski. He helped coordinate the bus pick up in the airport & drop off the following morning. We incorporated the bus into our night time experience - seeing the best of Berlin (as much as we could fit into our brief layover) with several stops for photos or further exploration. Our group was coming from Israel, so Harald did his best to incorporate WWII and pre-WWII Jewish history into the program with great success. This group of somewhat excitable teens hung on his every word as he captured their interest and imagination - not an easy task. Overall, we were very impressed with his ability to tell the Berlin story - but also to make it engaging, relevant and fun. Great job Harald !

We spent more than 5 hours touring Berlin both by car and by foot with Harald. He gave us a complete and detailed account of all the important sights in Berlin and especially the history of all we visited. We were able to get around the city easily by car. The driver always let us off near where Harald wanted to take us. The walking tour was just as interesting. We even stopped at a cool soup cafe for a quick lunch. It was delicious! Harald was recommended to us by friends who toured with him. We can say unreservedly that we recommend Harald to anyone who wants a very special time seeing the sights and learning about Berlin as it was then and how it exists today.
