What a wonderful hotel this is! We have been in Berlin many times and this is the nicest hotel we ever stayed at: beautiful and modern decor, very friendly service, large and comfortable rooms, great food and very nice cafe with yummy cakes, and very centrally located. U-Bahn station "Zoo" is just a few metres away. A really stylish and relaxing oasis in the middle of Berlin. Kurfuerstendamm ist just around the corner. Only downside is that the wifi is chargeable.

We will be back!

The hotel was amazing on all levels. Rooms are stunning, everything from the layout, bed, wireless and in room features like lighting. The bathroom was gorgeous, with nice tile and a fanatic shower.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I hope to return soon

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for three nights from the 13/2/14 to 16/2/14. We was originally booked for the Hilton, but the Hilton was flooded in one area and could not give us a room so we were upgraded to the Waldorf! We had a free taxi from the the Hilton to the Waldorf. On arrival, the hotel is spectacular, with great decor and furniture. We were checked in promptly and then taken to the lift. We stayed in room 509, this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. The keys you brush up against your door and the door will unlock for you. We opened the door to a very classy and spacious room, with a king bed, a huge room with furniture of the highest quality. The bathroom was also exceptional, with a big bath tub, and the toilet and shower in their own special cubicles. You could also watch the tv in the mirror a Whilst you would brush your teeth! So could listen to the news whilst showering also, there was speakers in the ceiling! Maid service twice a day, morning and evening! The tv only had a handful of English TV channels which was the only downfall, but there was also free wifi! The hotel is really central and getting around Berlin is easy from the underground outside the hotel at zoolichder garden (sorry about the spelling). If I ever return to Berlin which I would, I will definitely try and stay I'm the Waldorf, thank you for a wonderful experience. P.s you must walk around the hotel to really take it in! Especially the library on the 15th floor which will give you a great view of the city!

Dear guest,

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary past December. The first steps are always the hardest, but during these three years, we kept focusing on excelling on our level of service dedication and excellence. We have so far weathered every storm and our highest accolades are the praises from our guests that our employees receive. We believe this to be a true measure of our success and a reflection of our employees’ commitment to our standards. Our service belief rests on selecting those individuals with an innate ability to cater to our guests every need and to exceed their expectations.
We hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel very soon. Best regards from the Waldorf Astoria Berlin.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for 2 nights just before Christmas. As expected, great service, fantastic rooms (stay in a higher floor suite, for some great views across the city - we could see the giraffes and elephants in Berlin Zoo!), and delicious food.

We opted for Berlin for the traditional German Winter Wonderland experience, which was duly delivered. The Waldorf is ideally located so when you step out of the hotel, you are within walking distance of the majority of local attractions.

Our suite was spacious, equipped with Salvatore Ferragamo wash condiments, espresso machine, and remote controlled curtains/shutters. The only small downsides of the room were the lack of WiFi (something which really should be free in this day and age) and the limited choice of English TV channels - nothing really to spoil our break, but if you are looking to stay longer, than I can see it may pose more of an issue.

Overall, quality as expected at the Waldorf!

As members of the Hilton loyalty program, we chose the Waldorf Astoria for our 3-night stay during the winter holiday season. The hotel is beautiful throughout and all staff members with whom we interacted were exceptionally professional, competent and welcoming. We were upgraded to a king junior suite, a beautiful room that easily accommodated a rollaway. There were oversights that are not consistent with the Waldorf brand. Nespresso pods not replenished, missing fresh espresso cups and glasses, inconsistent turndown services, a broken table leg in our room, spa and pool area in used-towel disarray. I believe such issues will be resolved with time. On the upside, a third robe and slippers were placed in the room for our daughter, we were welcomed with a plate of macaroons, gifted a glass of champagne (Diamond status), and our every request was more than cheerfully and promptly granted.

We had breakfast and an afternoon coffee at Romanisches Café. Great food, ambiance and service. The view from the library is exceptional. But note the hours it is open during your stay. We missed out on an anticipated glass of champagne in this location because it had closed early in the evening. We switched to Lang Bar and the bartender was such a pleasure, he more than made up for our disappointment in having missed the library setting and view.

The U-Bahn Zoologischer Garten train station is just across the street, making getting around the city a breeze. It is an easy walk to great shopping on Kurfürstendamm. The food hall at KaDeWa is not to be missed (but so packed that on the two occasions we popped in it wasn’t plausible or comfortable to secure a seat). There is a Christmas market immediately across the street and we found it to be more enjoyable than the premier market on the Gendarmenmarkt (which was so populated when we visited one could barely move—and surely a potentially hazardous situation as it is cordoned). Our walking tour with Jeremy, The Berlin Experts, was excellent and key to making our short stay incredibly worthwhile. We hope to return and would again choose this hotel for our stay.

Very new, very fresh, nicely designed upscale hotel in the heart of West Berlin. One of the best in the city, no doubt. Good service, great views from higher floors. Very good service, great spa. If you are travelling to Berlin for shopping, it is one of the best places to stay in West Berlin, close to Kurfuerstendamm and all its treasures :-).

Room Tip: Pick the higher floor with nice views of the city.
