History and modern stadium all in one. Eerie and not too impressive from a distance but once you are inside - superb.
The towers where 'speeches' were made are imposing. Must go round the back to see Jesse Owens' name on the wall of medal winners.

The metro station in Berlin takes you directly to the station. You walk like 800 meters and you find yourself in front of the Olympic stadium. Let's not forget that this renovated stadium hosted the 1936 Olympic games and most recently the 2006 World cup final. Go on a sunny day to enjoy the pictures and the great stadium

An amazing building, well worth a visit. The journey there was really interesting and the venue itself was very impressive. There are lots of reminders of the buildings history, but from a design architectural point of view its brilliant. look for the Le Corbusier buliding which is just behaind the stadium, thats amazing as well.

This stadium had very nice atmosphere. Of course you can feel and see the history but at the same time stadium is in the active use. They also have quite simple cafe with very nice staff. Also fun shop ..oh sorry, fan shop of Hertha Berlin was there. Yes, I'm not their fan. Olympic stadium are for those who like sport or history or both. Our visit there was very comfortable. Also surrounding area is good for e.g. walking. Stadium is quite far away from city centre but there was good metro connection available. Go there and enjoy.
