Went here today to go on a tour as I hadn’t visited the Palace. It is a nice Palace and tour and the gardens are amazing as well. It was hot though in Berlin so many people felt aggravated by the heat but I am used to it so it didn’t bother me.

Quite easy to get to by U-Bahn and the Palace is about 10-15 minutes walk from the station. We enjoyed having at look at the surrounding area as well as the Palace. Took the tour that included both the old and new palace. Very enjoyable and the audio guide was excellent. The palace grounds are also well worth a visit. The only point that jarred was when my son was .pulled up for trying to take a photo whilst others were photographing everything in site. Turned out that if you paid an extra 3 euros you were given a red wrist band that allowed photography. Pity we were not told this on admission.

Two adults spent all afternoon at the Charlottenburg Palace on a Saturday in May, staying until the 530 closing time. We purchased the Charlottenburg+ ticket at 17€ each, allowing entry to all of the five parts of the Palace. We barely finished the Old Palace and the Neuer Wing, not having time for the New Pavilion, the Mausoleum or the Belvedere or the free gardens.

The ticket came with an excellent self-guided audio tour in English. Also, most of the exhibit explanations are in both German and English. So much to see, so little time. The audio guide was better in the Old Palace than in the Neuer Wing.

17 euros online ticket, which entitled you for a guided tour of the Palace and entrance to muselom and Belvedere Palace. On the guided tour your receive a mobile phone and headphones, which is straight forward enough to use. The takes around 40mins. You can walk around the gardens for free. Overall its a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Myself and daughter visited palace during our stay in Berlin - for her it was the best in Berlin - we didn't even go in!

You can walk into the front garden of the palace without a ticket - if you have Berlin Welcome card there is a discount. I think it is closed on Mondays so check before you plan your trip. Charllotanburg is within AB zone for public transport.
