“Good Hotel right in the heart of Berlin”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

I have recently stayed at this hotel in November 2012. The room was really clean and tidy although the budget room was abit small. I wouldn't book the budget room next time, I would spend abit more and get the next size room as the glass toilet and shower rooms wern't great. They do have obscured glass but I would have preferred to have spent abit more to have a seperate bathroom. The bar and restaurant were excellent - there was entertainment all nights and the bar was always busy. Staff very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect.

This hotel was fine for the price we paid and what we needed. It is a standard big chain hotel so you should not expect it to be unique or cosy.
I found the rooms ok, a bit small. And agree with other travellers about the washroom - it's a bit odd to have a washroom door that doesn't close properly and a shower facing the bed with glass walls. I was travelling with a friend and we certainly know a lot more about each other's hygiene habits after this trip!
Otherwise, the breakfast was really nice with lots of selection. I thought the tea selection was super! And the location was very good, it was easy to walk to many places from there and also easy to catch the bus to/from the airport.
I probably wouldn't stay there again as it was too standardized for me. I prefer smaller, more unique and personal hotels.

This is quite a nice central located hotel in East Berlin quite close to all the sights shops and good restaurants.. It is 33 floors and is always very busy.. The room are not the largest but we found it to be adequate, but the shower/wc is the weirdest silliest I've ever seen. The view from the top floor (40th) is worth going up for but 3€ charge is a wee bit over the top.. I liked this hotel as a good sightseeing base but would not stay there is I wanted to get a real feel for the Berlin/German people far to impersonal.

Just arrived back from 5 days in Berlin. Great time getting out and about but the hotel room was something else! Typically German - no drawers to put your bits away - had to use the slim cupboards. What was strange was the set up of the toilet & shower - the shower was lovely - big shower head but separating that from the toilet is white glass. This means when your other half is on the loo you can see the silhouette of them doing their business - worse at night when the light is on! If you weren't that close before your break you would be after!
The 8am daily knock on the door from the maid was not appreciated - had to use Do not Disturb sign in the end.
Breakfast was good - plenty of selection - if you like strong tea - take own tea bags - fruit tea plentiful but only earl grey, Darjeeling or black tea - no breakfast tea available.
Could do with providing a kettle so you can have hot drinks in your room. There was a fully stocked mini bar but a hot drink would have been nice after a day trekking around Berlin!
The bar is quite busy at night with a pianist providing entertainment - drinks bit too pricey - €9 mojito and €7 baileys - couldn't even get served last night to a second drink and the bar staff insisted on money straight away - not had to do this on our other nights - different staff on.
Tour bus outside the hotel worth a trip and the shopping area at the back of the hotel is good to visit - C&A is here!
Would visit Berlin again but will use different hotel next time!

Located in the central where some interest places just by walking distance. The hotel so big in so much rooms, it's ok for you who likes to go for shopping. Close to some malls which will pampered yourself. Breakfast ok with some options. Close to the train station which make you easy to connect to public transportation.

Room Tip: Ask to have the good view and the highest floor.

Stayed here recently for a conference, check in was polite & efficient with lots of desks open. It's located in the centre of Berlin with fantastic access to all the public transport. Hotel rooms are spotless and very modern with fantastic views over the city (14th Floor for me). The downside to this hotel is the extortionate wifi charges, room service prices. (€5 tray charge) and a €3 charge to access the roof terrace! Otherwise a great place to stay.

Room Tip: The higher the room the better the view!

nice roooms but small. if you are shy don't book a room at this hotel because the bathroom has a full view all over the room. the location is great but a little bit noising. try to get a room at the upper floors because of the noise and also get a tie if you wish to visit the casino (there is dress code). it is very easy to take the train or the tram right outside the hotel. park inn is very close to all the great attractions of berlin like museuminsel, alexanderplatz, unter der linden, pergamon museum, gendarmenmarkt etc. the night alexanderplatz is dark and a little scary
