“One of Berlin's gems ... Review for the Potsdammer Platz Restaurant”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is a newer sister restaurant to the Lutter & Wegner from the 1920's. Relatively new and nestled behind the Sony Centre this was a great restaurant. The food and service were very good. We tried a Sparkling Riesling wine which was on many of the restaurant menus in the city and it was delicious. The food was very good as was the service. We loved the fleece blankets that were provided as it was a little chilly in the evenings.

“A good meal”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We ate here on our first night as it was just round the corner from The Mandala Hotel where we stayed. We had an excellent meal at a reasonable cost. On subsequent evenings we returned to sit in the comfortable outside seating area for post supper drinks. A relaxing atmosphere with good service.
On a previous visit a few years ago we enjoyed lunch at the smaller winebar restaurant (Lutter & Wegner im weinhaus huth) where they serve wooden platters of meats or cheeses etc but this is smaller and being a popular venue with locals was often full. We also ate at another branch near Gendarmenmarkt when we met up with Berlin friends.

“Very good authentic German food”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Went to the L&W in Potsdamer Platz and had great sauerbraten and mixed salad with it. The wine list was great and we chose a nice German blauburgunder. Very high quality food, enjoyed the ambience as well.

“Be careful with the branch at Gendarmenmarkt”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Food was alright - had spargel. Service could be better. Price - reasonable. However, one thing for future patrons to be careful about - I paid by card, and my credit card details was stolen and used to buy GBP400 of items from iTunes. My iTunes account was not hacked, and the only time I used my card in Germany was at this restaurant. So beware!

“A bit overvalued”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

On Rick Steve's recommendations... Nice early 20-century atmosphere. German-Austrian cuisine, straightforward. Good, attentive service. Overall a good place to eat, quite pricey though
