Worth visit it! Absolutely a MUST for a stranger who goes to Berlin! With a 3 euros ticket you can enjoy an amazing park which contains gardens of China, of Japan, of Bali, an excellent "Christian garden" (!) and some other gardens, all showing the culture of each country. Google for more information and don't hesitate to visit it! It takes about 1 hour to go there (departing from the center of Berlin) but it is absolutely worth to do it!

“Very Pretty and Picturesque!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

You need at least a half day to see the beautiful gardens here. I really loved the beautiful plants and flowers from all over the world. The design is really nice, and the long ride to get there is totally worth it. I biked there with friends and loved every moment of it.

“A good day out”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012

Garten der Welt was easy to get to by S-Bahn and bus and the gardens were beautiful. The service at the restaurant where we had lunch (not the Chinese pavilion) was exceptionally slow, but it was a nice day so not too troubling. Our favorites were the oriental, chinese and japanese gardens, so if I go there again I would probably start with those as it can take a while to get around if you plan on seeing them all.

It's a nice outing that also takes you out of the city to see some of the "ordinary" Berlin.

“Beautiful place. Not a must see.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2012

No one can ignore this beauty. This spacious park is almost one square Kilometer of green, natural area. You actually leap from Japan to Korea in a few steps.

And still it shouldn't be a top-of-the-list attraction. Visit Garten Der Welt only if you have spare time and you have visited every other main attraction in Berlin.

You can get a small discount if you are holding a Berlin Welcome Card.

“City escape within the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2012

This place is just magic! You completely forget you are still in Berlin. They have an oriental garden, brought me right back to Morocco, super! In the Chinese garden you can choose a delicious tea from their huge tea menu, or a snack or refreshing juice, and enjoy the view of the lake in a chinese palace! I really liked that kids (and adults) are allowed to play with/in all the fountains and water features around the park, and there were no signs telling you not to step on the grass, etc. Great place to walk around and explore, relax in the sun, jogging, picknik, etc.
