“Wunderbar!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

This apartment was exactly what I was looking for: spotlessly clean, extremely well-equipped, and tastefully decorated, and just two blocks from the site of an artists' residency I was participating in. But beyond that, the location is superb, just steps from the U-bahn and a tram line, a block from a Kaiser's supermarket, and a delightful walk down Brunnenstrasse to the shops and cafés on Kastanien-allee.
And don't overlook Raja Jooseppi's delightful café for a beer, breakfast, or dinner. Or lunch, too, if you're nearby. It's something of a hidden gem.
Two thumbs up!

We stayed in apartment n. 3 for two nights. It was really clean and nice and had everything. The downside is that the parking lot is 3 min away and that the prices were a little high. Other than that, they were nice - offered us a welcome drink, came and helped with the luggage etc. We also rented bikes from them because it is easier to get around then by bus or metro.

The back window of our modest but very clean and crisp apartment looked out on a portion of the Berlin Wall and was a great starting point for learning all about the wall and the GDR etc. the duvets and beds were extremely comfortable. Our only gripe was that instead of double duvets, there are 2 single duvets but maybe that's just the way they do things in Germany?! The Cafe where you check in has lovely helpful and welcoming staff. We had a great value breakfast there 2 mornings and lunch once...and a nightcap one night as it's so nice in there with candlelit tables and great food and excellent people watching. We were there 2-7th December and it was FREEZING outside so if you're debating whether to bring your long-johns or ski-leggings...bring them!

The hotel is actually a 30-sq.-m. studio apartment located in the common residential building, very neat and quiet, so it has its own kitchen equipped with all, from forks and spoons to washing machine. This was the precisely what I always want - to live in a real environment to feel myself like a local resident. The hotel exceeded my expectations. And the building stands just a 2-min walk from the Berlin Wall and 40-min walk from the Reichstag!

I was pleasantly surprised with this apartment. At an affordable price, it is ideal for those on a budget.

Great location (supermarket and underground), clean and contemporary rooms, well maintained kitchen and bathrooms, ample cupboard space and a nice quite courtyard to peer into, I would surely comeback.

The staff was friendly, although spread a little thin between an affiliated restaurant (serving tasty cuisine) and bicycle renting agency. The rooms had no AC's/fan making the nights a little stuffy. The WiFi was also a little slow, but functional.

All in all, great value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the courtyard and ones with AC's/fan in the summers
