“Exellent traditional german fayre food”
Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

Me and my partner stumbled across this nice little bar/restaraunt while exploring the back streets of berlin while looking for somewhere to have lunch.i have seen other reviews saying the service is slow but we had no such problems. And if your on holiday why rush. I had their specialty which is the ham hock, puree pea, saurkraut, and potatos. Was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and have a good grasp of english.we ended up returning for a few nights for drinks and chat with the 2 girls behind the bar. Very enjoyable. Highly recomended. Will be returning next year

“Real German Food in Charlottenburg, Berlin”
Reviewed August 19, 2011

I've been going to Thomas Eck for good German beer and food for three years. The food continues to be terrific. Be sure to bring an empty, hungry stomach and be prepared for a leisurely lunch or dinner. Thomas Eck is often quite full and so wait times can be on the lengthy time but then just order a beer, sip, talk, watch the passers-by on the street and when the food arrives, you'll be all set for a trip into real German cuisine! Last meal I had there in July was liver, delicately seasoned with perfectly sauteed slices of apples and onions. Seating is both outside on the sidewalk or inside in the atmospheric dining room.
