Great location, very good free breakfast, fantastic location.
We went for the Christmas market and found 3 brilliant ones within walking distance
Short walk to Check point Charlie.
About 20 minutes to Brandenburg.
Basic but clean and comfortable

Hi there! We were there for Thanksgiving weekend and was so excited, we checked in at the front desk around 7PM a guy, not too friendly asked if we can pay cash which is kind of annoying coz I want to use our card for safety reasons. This is why

First, our hotel room got breaked in and took our gadgets, spoked to the hotel manager and he was not nice at all and won't get our money back or give us discount for what happened.

I was so scared and I was afraid for my Family's safety. The intruder broke in to our hotel window.

Please watch out!

Just back from a 3 night stay.Fab place, comfy bed, great shower, basic breakfast, but enough to set you up for the day.5 minutes to Check Point Charlie.Found the staff to be very helpful, especially on the reception,,showed us maps, gave directions.we stayed in a triple Room,no7, it's on the ground floor, very quiet as it's down a private corridor.the towels were changed everyday and the bed made.Spittlemarkt is 10 minutes up the road, you can get anywhere in Berlin using this, but we chose to walk as you stumble on things you won't see on they underground If you turn left out of the hotel, there's a little bar on the corner where you can get a carry out tea or coffee,as,that is the only downside to the hotel,no tea or coffee making facilities. All in all, a great place to stay for a trip to Berlin.Would stay again and recommend.

Room Tip: No 7 triple room,ground floor,down a private corridor.Very quiet

Nice hotel not far from SpittelMarkt station and near the line of the wall! Clean and silent room on the 4* floor. You can reach walking FriederichStrasse or checkpoint Charlie . Alexander platz is only 3 stop of U-bahn

The hotel does not pretend to be anything other than a budget hotel. We stayed 10 days, much longer than the average it seems, as we met different folk at breakfast every morning! Our room was a good size with large double bed. Towels were changed everyday and the bathroom was cleaned and the bed was made. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. The hotel is situated on the very edge of the Berlin Wall, a 10 minute walk from Checkpoint Charlie (which is also where you could get on the 'hop hop off sight-seeing buses'- always the best way to get around a large city in my opinion). Reception staff we met were friendly and helpful. All in all a good deal.
But there are some negatives! Our room was not hoovered or dusted during our 10 day stay. The kitchen staff are rude and unhelpful. It was very hot especially at night and no A/C or even a fan made sleeping difficult, to say the least. Yes, we opened a window but the noise outside again prevented sleep. Late at night and at 6am every morning, staff could be heard from the breakfast room shouting very loudly at each other, bins were being filled or emptied also very loudly! And how hard can it be to provide tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms? And altough our bed was big and comfortable the pillow was simply awful!

Room Tip: do not let them put you in Room 5 on the ground floor! It is next to breakfast room and you will be...

We stayed there for 2 nights on our weekend trip to Berlin. It was great for this purpose, relatively close to the city centre (either metro (U-bahn) or walk (20/25 minutes), clean, large room, bathroom fully equipped (shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer), storage room to leave your luggage, quite flexible about the check-in time (we arrived 2 hours before), good breakfast with a wide range of options. Nothing to complain, nothing amazing.
