Owner description: With the bicycle through Berlin...To really have an inside view of Berlin, you have to experience Berlin. With a bus, train or your own car it will not work. A bike tour with one of our guides is the perfect approach to showcase our very green, big area and cycle friendly city of Berlin. You won’t have to wait at bus or tram stops, or waste your time looking for over-priced parking spaces. Travelling by bike you’ll always arrive right in the middle of the action. Just be here......Only BERLIN BIKE TOUR guarantees groups of max. 8 people. Mass tourism is a foreign word to us. Small groups, big adventures.....

Our bicycle tour guide Joe was a native of Berlin. Knowledgeable and entertaining, he provided anecdotal and insightful information at every stop on this fabulous 5 hour bike tour. From the site of Hitler's infamous book burning on the campus of Humboldt University, to the decaying remains of the once foreboding Berlin Wall, to the opulence of the Brandenburg Gate, Joe had an interesting story to tell at every location that only a native Berliner could provide. As an enhancement, Joe took us off the beaten bath through a beautiful city park that allowed all of us an opportunity to get a bit of cardio which gave the tour a healthy component. Everyone appeared to enjoy the tour judging by the amount of beer that was consumed at the end of the tour in the shadow of the large communications tower. Without a doubt our host Joe brought Berlin's history to life.

We did the central Berlin tour at the end of July and it was brilliant. We booked a English language tour and our guide Wolfgang was perfect - knowledgeable, entertaining, charming.

The first stop on the tour is the old Bornholmer Strasse frontier crossing. We had no idea until that point that this is where the frontier was first opened in November 1989. Because the frontier was on the railway bridge, the landscape is much the same today, so it was easy to imagine the scene exactly as it was then. (In fact the station building in the middle of the bridge looks as though it hasn't changed at all!)

After that we progressed into central Berlin stopping at all sorts of interesting places picking out the remains of the old dividing line and hearing the many background stories provided by Wolfgang.

The tour lasted about 3 and half hours but it was done at a modest pace. And yes the bicycles had comfortable saddles. I strongly recommend this tour.

Excellent guide Ferenc created an unforgettable afternoon for us on and off the bike. Best way to get to know the city of Berlin. A grand tour, filled with very useful background information. And not unimportant: very comfortable bikes, too! Empfolen!

We booked in advance at their website, and everything was ready when we came. We were three girls going on the 4hour Berlin Potpurri tour, and our guide Marcus gave us a perfect tour around in the eastern part of Berlin. We saw a lot of "non-tourist"-places, which was very interesting. It was only the three of us, so we had the opportunity to ask a lot of questions and take some "detours" to see things that we wanted to see/ saw along the way. The bikes were in good condition and we learned a lot about Berlin and had a great time!

14.07 2012. Very interesting. Skilful guide. A good way to see Berlin. Feeling the atmosphere of Berlin on bike and getting closer to history of Berlin with our personal guide Marcus.
This trip with Berlin Bike Tour was the very best part of our visit to Berlin.
