The experience of eating in a revolving restaurant overlooking a vibrant and exciting capital city surely must be a welcome addition to most people's bucket list?
Booked VIP tickets in advance, which incidentally weren't actually necessary as the place was pretty empty, however, I have been past the entrance to the Türm during the day in the summer and there have been four hour queues - anyway....
As promised were given window seats. The view was absolutely outstanding. Food was pretty average, considering the website boasts world class food. It was nice, and I certainly wouldn't say that it was bad but it appears that the prices were elevated to reflect the novelty of the physically elevated restaurant and the quality of the cooking/ingredients. The waitress was pretty condescending.
I would return, but in my opinion there is food to be found of infinitely superior quality on terra firma and if its good food you're after, this really isn't the place to be.
That said, there is little in the way of flavour or presentation that could rival the winning edge that is being 207 metres above such a wonderful and fascinating city.
This is a must do, if not in the quest for good gastronomy, then for a tick off the bucket list.
