“Great location”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

Visited in early June for a weekend. The weather was around 30 degrees so the air con in the lobby was a life saver.

Hotel itself is really nice- staff were always freidnly and helpful reccomending restaurants and best ways to get around.
The rooms are good size with everything you need (including a phone in the toilet?)
Location is perfect, literally across the street from the tower and walking distance to pretty much everything.
The fish tank in the lobby is amazing but not actually part of the hotel and is owned by the sea life centre- theres a lift that goes up through the middle of the tank which can only be purchased as part of that tour- bit of a shame but theres plenty else to do in Berlin so disappointment was short lived!!

Dear Tom C, We just want to say thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately our hotel does not have direct access to the lift at the AquaDom. It would be a pleasure to be your host again in a not too distant future! Best regards, The Radisson Blu Team

Stayed here as part of a large group on a stag weekend. The hotel was really well situated close to the river with some good bars and restaurants nearby. Public transport was within easy access also with trams, U-bahn, S-bahn and regional trains within 200 metres. The hotel was very clean, rooms were a decent size and the reception area with the cylindical aquarium was stunning. Will definitely return.

Just got back from a four night stay here. Was superb! The room was ultra clean, spacious and we even had a view of the city too! The staff on reception were great too! Only hiccups were the small pool but I guess you don't visit berlin to swim as there is way too many other things to do. And also the concierge lady wasn't very helpful when asking about the grill royal restaurant. Upon her telling us it's fully booked you'd have thought she would have suggested similar or other nice restaurants being the concierge and all. But nevertheless an absolutely unforgettable trip and a brilliant hotel to stay in!

I was there during a conferences and really I enjoy there because service was nice and food are right. Rooms are big and the people are very friendly.

I'm planning to come back to enjoy again basically because I'd like to evaluate after a second visit.

We visited this hotel in December for the markets, the hotel is in a great location and worth a stay. We traveled to the hotel using the train not taxi from the airport. The taxi is a lot of money and in comparison the train fair per person for unlimited travel for a week is only £25pp. Remember to punch the ticket on the platform to activate it and then your good to go.
The hotel is a five mins walk from the local station and their are so many on the metro that you can just hop on and off all day.
Use the metro to visit the museums or points of interest as they are very efficient and free if you've the travel card.
The hotel has a great tank in the foyer, this is relaxing and it is nice to sit and watch the fish as you chill and eat either breakfast or dinner.
The hotel will offer an upgrade for a small fee but this is not worth it as you only really sleep in the room so save the money on food or a bigger wine.
All in all a lovely hotel and nice food too.

We have just returned from a great stay at the Radisson Blu. From the moment we arrived we knew that this hotel was ideal. It is situated right in the centre of Berlin next to the river and near lots of cafes and restaurants, and many of the major museums are right on the doorstep. Alexanderplatz with its good transport connections is just down the road.

Our room was comfortable and spacious with tea and coffee making facilities, safety box, and many extras such as shampoo, conditioner, shoe horn, sewing kit etc. which were replenished daily. Face flannels were also provided. The bed was large and comfortable and the bath and shower were excellent.

One amazing feature of this hotel was the aquarium which is apparently the largest cylindrical aquarium in the world. It was fascinating to watch the fish and to see the weddings and functions which took place just above and beneath. Our room did not overlook the aquarium but many did, including our friends' room.

The breakfasts were excellent with everything that one could ask for: cooked options including omelettes made to order; fresh fruit and cereals; a wide choice of breads, cakes, croissants, salads ..... One was spoilt for choice. The coffee could have been hotter, but that is a minor detail.

The staff were helpful and courteous and could not do enough for us. Everything one needed was to hand. We would definitely stay at this hotel if we were to return to Berlin which I hope that we shall as it is a great city.

Room Tip: If you want to watch the fish you could ask for a room overlooking the aquarium.

I stayed along with my boyfriend T the Raddison Blu hotel in Berlin in April this year. We were greeted on arrival at the hotel with smiles from the staff at the front desk who were extremely helpful. The hotel rooms were lovely and spacious with a very comfy bed. We opted for a room with a fish tank view and were not disappointed. One downfall is the lack of natural light which you should take into consideration if given the option. I used the spa and swimming pool which were all very clean and a nice refresher after walking round the city. The hotel is in prime position for walking round exploring Berlin and we had a great time walking round seeing all the sites during our stay. A great hotel in a brilliant location with lovely staff.
