We spent three nights here at the beginning of December, the start of the Christmas Market season.

The hotel is easy to find and one-stop from Alexandersplatz Station on the tram, upon arrival the staff were very helpful and polite.

The Aquarium that you see as the focal point in the lobby is in fact part of the sea aquarium next door, it is mind blowing how big and visually stunning it is.

We upgraded to Business Class and found the room (5101) very accommodating, we had views of the cathedral and river, the rooms were very well stocked with anything from shampoo to a shoehorn, this was a no smoking floor. The room was very quiet and had no issues with it except that albeit very nice to have a coffee machine in your room, it'd be much more practical to have a kettle.

We used the pool and sauna which is complementary and was lovely, the pool is small but ample, they provide you with a locker, robe and towels so you don't have to take the ones from your room.

The breakfast was very good and had a great selection, enough for even the fussiest of customers.

The bar was a nice place to be in the evening and eventhough we didn't eat in HEat, the food did look tasty and pretty if you like that sort of thing.

For me, you get what you pay for however in my opinion the hotel is geared towards the business 'doesn't matter, its going on the company credit card' type, this reflects in the price of everything, the drinks and food are overpriced, my partner and I had a 500ml Beer and a non alcoholic cocktail which came to €14.

One final warning would be that if you do use the sauna, let's just say that the locals like to get naked and will walk around quite innocently, so if you're easily offended please be advised. It's not something we were used to.

Pros: very comfortable, quiet and central

Cons: very expensive overall, missing the simplicity of the trusty kettle.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a short break in this diverse city.

Room Tip: I'd advise to pay the extra for the business rooms, its worth the extra and I'm not one for unnecessary spending.

A very enjoyable stay - first class service. The one million litre fish tank is stunning - make sure your room has a view of it. Not a bad location, short walk from the overground and subway station at Alexanderplatz. Didn't eat in the hotel so no comment on the food.

Room Tip: Pick a room facing inside to enjoy the fish!

Just returned on Sunday from a 3 night stay (there were 5 of us so 3 rooms overall)

As many others have said there is a WOW factor upon entering, the gigantic aquarium really is a sight to behold !

We arrived around 1pm so ahead of the official check in time, just one room was ready however they were very helpful offering to call us when the others were done, and in around an hour they were all ready.

We had the business rooms with the Cathedral / Dom view, which i highly reccommend. The view was amazing. These rooms also have a few extras like the Nespresso machines, plus you get breakfast included which is really expensive otherwise. We all preferred this to the rooms that face inwards, if it was just for one night then its probably fine but for 3 days we did appreciate being able to see the outside world (and what the weather was doing !) but i can see on here some people rave about the aquarium view so its obviously personal prefference.

Rooms were very comfortable, nice bathrooms and lovely toiletries in the business class rooms (and they are generous with them - i hate hotels that just give you like 1 small shower gel when there are two of you !!) extra touches such as hand cream, bath crystals ... very nice !

Only 1 small critisism of the room facility ... they put a bottle of complimentary water in the room on arrival, i really think at the price these rooms are that should be replaced each day. We drank ours the first day and then no more came. We stayed at the Excelsior Ernst in Cologne the last 2 years for the xmas markets and they actually give you a free mini bar in with their deluxe rooms, it only has a couple of beers, some coke and water but its topped up every day. The price these hotels buy drink for it probably doesnt cost them much per room but it was a very nice touch.

But apart from that (which i know is being really picky !) we couldnt fault the place, the staff were all brilliant (reception, concierge, bar, breakfast). the bar is a lovely place to enjoy a cocktail ! Breakfast really is everything you could wish for and more !

Location was perfect for us, we had a couple of good christmas markets nearby plus the 'hop on hop off' city sightseeing buses stop just outside (consierge can suggest the best one and sort your tickets). Theres a lovely old quarter about 10 minutes walk away with great old restaurants, cobbled streets and a little church ... really nice. Again the consierge pointed us in the right direction and armed us with maps !

We all agreed this was a fabulous hotel and i do believe we are already contemplating a return trip for next year !

The fish tank in the lobby is WOW. Rooms and bathrooms spotless, spacious and comfortable. Good choice at breakfast. Service very good across all areas of the hotel. Well located for the sights: museums within a few minutes walk and a walkable distance to the gate. Lots of restaurants nearby. Easy to get to by public transport from both Berlin airports. All staff were professional and friendly. Well done the Radisson Blu Berlin

Stayed here as a treat for our wedding anniversary and what a treat it was. Friendly check in despite milling mobs checking in for a conference. Nice spacious room with comfortable bed and beautiful view of the Dom. The aquarium was spectacular and an amazing focal point. Breakfast included in our deal and was excellent with a wide selection of cooked and cold items.
Hotel location was ideal, being next door to museum island and with a Christmas market across the road.
