From check in staff to the most helpful concierge you could wish to have, lots of the sites were in walking distance ie check point Charlie Berlin Wall and more. Restaurants recommended to us were of the highest standard.

Just returned from a 3 day break at this hotel in Berlin.
Hotel is very good, centrally located near many tourist sites, bus stops and tour buses and the staff are extremely helpful.
We arrived at 1130am and were able to checking to our room straight away which was great.
Yes the aquarium is clever but you don't spend all day looking at the fish!!
Room was great- quite large with a lovely comfortable bed and a bath to soak aching feet in after a day walking round the city! (Take comfortable shoes!).
Spotlessly clean and so quiet we slept late each morning.

If you don't have breakfast included in your rate it's very expensive-25euro each so we chose to eat at a local cafe.
Choice of places to eat near the hotel is also quite limited.

Must say we were quite disappointed in Berlin. For obvious reasons there is massive re development work going on everywhere, but the site of cranes, hoardings, mud and building works is a bit wearing after a while.
The open and already re- developed areas on the west of the city were a welcome sight to be honest.

It is well worth taking the tourist bus trip round the city to see all the key sights and you can use this as a way of getting from the hotel to the main Ku'Dam shopping area which is a great place to spend your money if shopping is on the list!!

Overall I would recommend this hotel but not sure that we will be back to Berlin in a hurry!

This hotel has a best possible location for weekend travellers. It is located near the museum island and Berlin tv tower. So, plenty to see with minimum distance.

Hotel's staff were really friendly, polite and helpful. Check in and check out were efficient and flexible. I also got lucky and received an upgrade to junior suite.

The suite was really nice and clean. Complimentary water, newspaper and coffee with Nespresso machine (which was extremely loud). Bed was very comfortable and bathroom big and clean. Free wifi was also provided and it worked well.

Breakfast was one of the best I have had for a long time. Good selection!

The lobby area is unique: a huge aquarium in the middle of atrium was unreal.

Although this was quite expensive hotel, I can consider it for private travel as well. The location is just so great.

Great location beside the Alexanderplatz. Great staff, comfortable rooms and lots of nearby restaurants.
A bit on the spendy side but why not! The hotel is situated right beside the museum island and is about 1500m from the Brandenburg gate

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the fish tank

Berlin was our final stop in our trip and we checked into Radisson Blu of course, the location is very central close to museums, the tv tower, the metro (5 min walk) and other tourists areas. We were surprised that our room was already ready, it was only about 12noon when we arrived. The reception area was wonderful, there was alot going in the reception area but they blends into each other. We got a room on the top floor (6th floor), we requested a city view and the room was simple, it needs a little lick of colour but it was spacious.

The most impressive part of the hotel is the aquarium, its something you can sit and admire for some time. Its something that brings the hotel alive, sadly we didnt have enough time to visit the inside. There is lovely bar area on the reception, lots of seats for everyone.. the music is not too loud so atmosphere for small and large groups to gather. The breakfast room was large, the selection was massive though the hot dishes could have been heated up abit as it was lukewarm. All staff were friendly, they always greet you when you walk past which is lovely.

Something that did make this place NOT a 5 star for me was - We wanted to make tea but we couldn't find any milk pots in the room so we called room service. It took them about 15-20mins (i dont know why it took so long) to bring it up and plus we got charged 2euros for a jug of milk?? WHAT?! A 5 star Radisson, i would expect to provide complimentary milk for guest especially if your also providing tea/coffee in the room aswell. We signed the check anyways but i was shocked.

Overall i did love the atmosphere of this hotel, the location was ideal but there were a few niggles here and there which are fixable i hope. I would stay again as i do want to explore the hotel and the city even more.

Excellent! First class service all round. Room spacious, clean and well appointed as you would expect from a 5 star establishment. Free internet in room very useful. Breakfast buffet one of the best I've had. The main feature of the hotel is the world's largest indoor
cylindrical aquarium in the center of the lobby and rises up 5 floors, is amazing. On checking in you have the option of choosing a room which looks onto the aquarium. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk away from Alexanderplatz and Hackerscher Markt an ideal location for shopping, exploring the main tourist sights and transport links. The airport bus TXL, stops 50 meters away.
