“Excellent location”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

The hotel lobby is beautiful & a bit intimidating with its huge ceiling & central aquarium; the rooms are very nice although a bit small, it is of a good size in comparison to the european standards. We had the Nespresso machine in our room & that was a great plus. We paid an extra for the room overlooking the cathedral and it was totally worth it, sitting on that tiny balcony enjoying the view & a cup of coffee was a pleasant experience. The location of the hotel is perfect, there are tons of snacks, coffee shops & restaurants nearby. Taxis are always parked next-door and train station is a block away. it is also a great shopping area with very nice shops around & great malls 10 min away (by Alexanderplaz). The breakfast was fabulous with a great section, they had a really nice sitting area outside by the river. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Pick the ones overlooking the Cathedral

This is really an exceptional hotel. It is very conveniently located for getting round Berlin and is right next to museum island. We had a lovely room overlooking the cathedral. The swimming pool and sauna areas were lovely. The standard and range of choice for breakfast was excellent and it was really nice to be able to eat outside on the terrace. The staff, particularly on reception were charming and courteous and dealt with a problem with the air conditioning in our room in a very prompt and efficient manner. The huge fish tank in the foyer is amazing! I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, I highly recommend it. Just, one, tiny negative comment..we had a coffee machine in our room, which was great, but room service charge 2euros to bring milk to the room in a jug.

Room Tip: Everyone likes something different, some rooms look onto the fish tank, we chose an outside room loo...

It is really an original hotel, very helpful staff especially ahmet, excellent breakfast. You can take a taxi from TXL airport it cost 22 euros or a bus shuttle (the stop is one block away from the hotel).
Alexanderplaz is 5 minutes walking distance. You have many restaurant and shops near by the hotel. If you need a car rental you have europcar 24/7 at alexanderplaz. I can advise you to book a business room cause the view is really beautiful.

We had 4 nights here last July and would definitely return.
Staff are friendly and helpful from the moment you check in.
The hotel is clean, modern and the rooms are great, we had a business class room overlooking the cathedral and river, which was brilliant with an extremley comfy bed and the added bonus of a Nespresso coffee machine! I did worry that we may experience noise from the riverside down below, but as soon as the doors were shut all noise was shut out too.
Breakfast was excellent with almost too much choice and would suit any taste, and it was nice to be able to eat outside and not feel rushed to vacate the table when finished.
Location was lovely right next to museum island and generally in a prime position of what was the old east Berlin with many bars and restaurants close by.
If you're looking for a hotel in Berlin for business or pleasure then the Radisson is it.

I stayed here for a long birthday weekend last December.
The hotel is in the perfect location for sightseeing, 5 mins from metro station and opposite the tv tower.
The hotel is stunning, the aquarium is a mesmerising feature.
Bar staff very friendly and some of the best cocktails we have ever had.
Great service from concierge, ordered ice bucket and arrived in minutes.
Good restaurants and bars nearby.
Directly opposite one of the biggest and best Christmas markets.

This hotel does what Radisson does best with that extra bit if German precision. Clean rooms. Very very fast and free unlimited wifi is a welcome bonus especially if you staying here on business.
Atrium can be noisy at times but rooms are well isolated from the Hub-bub. Breakfast is all that you expect. Quality ingredients. Fresh. Not much variety but what there is, is tasty. No chicken or mutton option for Asians.
Best reason to stay here is its location to all the important museums as well as the river on its doorstep.
Well worth a visit.

Was there for a week to attend a conference. Found some time to be a tourist too. Location was perfect for that. Easy walking distance of key parts of Berlin: Museum Island (next door across the Spree), Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, etc). The lobby is, as others have said, pretty awesome with its multistory aquarium. Quality of the room was good with comfortable bed. Had a nice balcony right over the conference area lobby (atrium area extending along the rear of the hotel with meeting rooms on both sides) that I used in the evenings to enjoy the sounds of the city. The guest chair in the room wasn't that comfortable (padded but too straight backed), the balcony chair was much more comfortable. Tempted to drag it inside. Buffet breakfast each morning was consistently excellent. The food service provided during the conference didn't do my weight any good at all; still working on the pounds I gained. Bottom line: great hotel, excellent service and staff, great location.
