Nice hotel, great staff - without exception friendly, helpful and efficient. The concierge team are especially good - my wife developed bronchitis while we were there and they organised a doctor to visit within an hour. He had her up and running (not literally!) again within a few hours so we could enjoy our last 2 days...

Best reception/atrium of any hotel I've ever stayed at! Guaranteed entertainment if you like tropical fish - especially when the big black one with the mask and flippers was around...!

Standard rooms are a little 'bijou', but fine for a stay of a few days - and great view of the Berliner Dome. Breakfasts are good and good free wifi. Great for Christmas markets, which the Germans definitely do best and as a base for exploring the city... Would stay here again if we returned to Berlin

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Dome...

From the welcoming four-story fish tank to the well design rooms and excellent location. You cannot fault this hotel.
We always stay here for business and it's easy to walk to the main tourist attractions as well as to our main office in Mitte. Also, the taxis waiting outside is a PLUS as is not that easy to find a taxi in Berlin.

Definitely worth staying here for ideal location (do not buy the Welcome Card as you walk everywhere from here), worth paying extra for business class rooms to overlook cathedral and for nespresso coffee machine (take your own capsules as these are rarely/never replenished in our 2 rooms in a 3 night stay despite our requests). Ask for rooms on as high a floor as possible for best view. Twin beds throughout hotel. Apparently there are a few rooms with king size beds - we were told we had been put in one but we weren't. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Am shocked by other reviews that comment on good service. We had 2 business class rooms, emailed 48 hrs b4 arrival re possibility of an early check in, heard nothing, emailed again 24 hrs b4 arrival - still no response. Upon arrival were told we could have one room from 14.30, the other took till 17.00. Staff said they had both emails. We said we had a late departure flight, wondered if we could keep just one room till 15.00 hrs as we had had to wait so long to check in, to be initially told no ! They kept our luggage that 1st day whilst we were unable to check in, but not in a secure room. Our cases were simply left in the corner of the lobby, anyone could have walked away with them. We did when we found them like this. We tried room service once, but after phoning down 3 times in 2 hours and still not being attended to, we went out to buy milk and tea bags to fend for ourselves. On settling our bill reception staff believed we had used the minibar and booked a trip, neither of which were the case. This was fairly swiftly settled, however if you want to feel looked after, perhaps think twice before you book a stay here. The only staff who were helpful and efficient were the concierge team, especially Norman, who gave recommendations and booked restaurants on our behalf. I felt like a nuisance whilst staying here and not a valued paying guest. Hotel was full of American lawyers and other groups of business people on conferences, even thru the weekend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on as high a floor as possible. Consider paying extra for business class room overloo...

The most striking feature of this hotel is that there is a four-story aquarium right in the middle of the hotel. My room is actually facing the aquarium. I just couldn't get enough watching the fish tank. My wife, on the other hand, didn't like this at all.

Service is OK. Gym is good size for Berlin. The room is not big. Location of the hotel is good. It is right between museum island and Alexanderplaz. However, as far as room rate, this hotel is definitely a bit over priced.

My husband and i just returned from a few days in Berlin. The hotel was wonderful. The breakfast was nice, the room exceptionally clean and well kept. But what really made this hotel wonderful was how attentive the staff was. They really turn this hotel in the most cosy place to stay and they realy make you feel like home. All these small touches made our stay truly memorable. I definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel was excellent, from the service that the staff provided to the food in the restaurant.

We upgraded to a 'city view' room which had big glass doors which overlooked the river and the Berlin Dom (cathedral). The doors opened too so you could get some fresh air into your room. If you are a tea drinker (we are!) then take your own teabags; we had a fancy coffee machine in our room which gave us hot water, but no teabags were provided.

The hotel is right next to Museum Island and an easy 5-10 minute walk from the Alexanderplatz station. From Alexanderplatz you can get a train direct to Schoenefeld airport which only takes 25 minutes.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of cooked food (the usual sausages, bacon, mushrooms, etc.) and cereals, yoghurt, pastries, juices and smoothie and lovely breads. We also ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent. It was a little pricey but definitely worth it. I'd reccommend getting a Berlin Welcomecard as this gave us quite a significant discount off the bill.

Overall a really good hotel!

This was our first time in Berlin and I chose the Radisson Blu based on the reviews that I've read on Tripadvisor. I'm really glad I did so, since our stay was perfect! We arrived by car which is no problem since there is an underground public parking right underneath the hotel. From the underground parking lot (which costs €18/day), there is an elevator leading directly into the lobby of the hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly staff, making us feel comfortable and welcome from the first moment. We tried our best to speak German, but in essence this wasn't necessairy since the staff spoke perfectly English as well. The choise was offered on which floor our room should be located. We chose the top floor which is an absolute recommendation since, when booking a Business Room, you get an awesome view over the Berlin Dom (later more about this). When travelling as a couple, don't forget the following!!: The layout of the rooms is by default two single beds, but you can ask the staff at check-in to get one king-size bed, without extra cost and if available. So don't forget!

As smooth as check-in went, so continued the experience throughout the rest of our stay. The rooms were clean and provided with everything we needed: towels, bathrobes, slippers, bottle of water, chocolates, etc. When we were relaxing in our room for half an hour (since we had a long drive coming to Berlin from Belgium), housekeeping knocked on the door to ask if everything was as we liked, and if we needed anything else. What a service! We asked for one more large towel since only one was provided in the bathroom, and it was given to us without hassle.

The lounge, with the massive aquarium in the middle, is absolutely stunning. Very relaxing atmosphere and again very friendly staff. The only downside is the high price of the drinks (€4,5 for a coke, €12 for a rather small cocktail). It might be better to go out for a drink. If you want to go to the center or someplace else, and you want to take public transport, there is a tram that stops nearby the hotel. The only downside is that the nearest U-bahn (underground) station is quite a walk from the hotel (approx 1,2km) on the Alexanderplatz. But there are always taxi's available in front of the hotel for an affordable price if necessairy.

The wellness in the hotel was the only little downside during our stay. The wellness is presented as being open until 22h, but when we arrived there at 21:20, the staffmember told us that we needed to leave the wellness at 21:40.. So we were only able to take a swim for about 20 minutes before we were sent out. A shame, since a dive in the pool was a pleasure after a long day of walking and exploring Berlin.

And last but not least, breakfast buffet. If you have the choice, take it. It's well worth the price. Everything can be found, from croissants, over typical english breakfast with sausages and mushrooms to fresh baked omelettes to suite your taste. A must do when staying in the Radisson Blu Berlin!
