We stayed here in January 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were great when booking and offered advice as i wanted the trip to be as special as possible as it was a surprise 30th birthday trip for my boyfriend. On arrival they had arranged a birthday cake for him which was a really nice touch. We had a Business Class room which was big and comfortable. Our balcony looked directly out on to the Cathedral - it was utterly stunning. The spa facilities are basic but good and we both enjoyed a hot oil massage which was great. The breakfast choice is huge!

We did the free walking tour which meets outside Starbucks near the Brandenberg Gate and was fascinating. The best meal we had was in a small 1940s style bar called Botzow-Privat. Delicious home cooked food and cold german beer.

The hotel offers excellent service with comfortable rooms and friendly staff always eager to answer any touristy (!) questions. Our room had a view to the aquarium and especially at night it was magnificent. What we appreciated even more, however, was its location. Just literally 5 minutes walk from Major attractions, such as the Pergamon Museum, the DDR Museum and Nikolaiviertel, it is an ideal location if you want to do some sightseeing! The price was reasonable for what it offers so we would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: We asked for aquarium view and it was GREAT!

We stayed here with my boyfriend when visiting Berlin during this month.
Hotel is truly modern and beautiful, definitely one of the must see places situated in a dream tourist location- middle of Alexanderplatz.
First of all hotel is extremely clean - I would call it German precision :)
I have to stress that we visited many 5* properties, but we've never been to such a well cleaned hotel. The enormous Aquarium I admit - is incredible, I was looking at it hypnotized all evening. On arrival, we were given the choice of a room overlooking the tank or the city, therefore ignore all the negative comments about no window with a day light in the tank side room. Some people just want to have tank, city window and maybe roof, opening with the remote controller as well in their room. There was absolutely no problem with the lighting, room was very bright during the day and the weather didn't change from winter to summer in one night, therefore dressing up in the morning wasn't really such a fuss. The lifts were quite slow, but I absolutely understand issue with inserting the room key to get to the right floor, it was all for essential security reasons, as in the lobby there were lots of tourists taking pictures of the tank all the time and lifts were the only way to separate hotel guests from them.
The only thing I could pick on was the Spa, which was free, however really, really small. The water in a tiny pool was a bit too cold for me and I was embarrassed to use sauna as it was mixed gender and main requirement was to go naked, or just be covered with the towel. I didn't want to (knowing german openness) accidentally see any naked, old men, therefore I didn't use it at all :)
Overall, I highly recommend Radisson Blu in Berlin.

This hotel is located very centrally in the old East Berlin. Close to some of the biggest sites the town has to offer. Just across from the hotel you will find the oldest parts of Berlin (nikolaiviertel). I highly recommend to visit the hotel bar and enjoy one of their many Mojitos. They are a true sensationcand makes the stay a treat in itself. My favourite is definetely the Rasperry Mojitos. 5 star all the!

Sadly I only spent one night at this great hotel. I found the rooms to be very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and caters to all tastes. The lobby is really nice with a enormous fish tank that dominates the space.

The rooms are small but comfortable, and the location is unbeatable. My problem was that the business center computers were very old. I tried to print my boarding passes and their old PCs only had IE 6 which didn't work with my airline's site. Seems like something that would be simple to fix.
