“Very tasty!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012 via mobile

For someone who loves great homecooked food without pretentious, this is the place to sit down and enjoy a
Variety of hearty Swabian dishes, best washed down with one of the excellent light reds from Wuerttemberg. Service was very good, but not as good as the Scnitzel with fresh chanterelles I gorged on for main course. Seating is equally comfortable inside and outside but al fresco wins hands down in Summer, with a nice view across one of the nicest squares in Berlin.

“Best Swabian food in town with attentive service to unbeatable prices”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

The Wiesenstein is a really good Swabian restaurant located at one of Berlins most nices places.
The card offers a great variety of Swabian food like Maultaschen (filled paste) or escalopes to very fair prices - especially when you consider that this area has one of the highest apartment rents in Berlin. It is only 10 Minutes by foot from the famous KaDeWe warehouse.
The service is always very attentive and the kitchen is really fast.
Size of dishes is over the average and will satify every hunger.
Swabian Beers are also very nice, the often promoted Swabian wines are fine when you choose the white one - the red wines aren't so intensive like south european ones.
A really good restaurant for a nice meal for lunchtime or evening.
Reservation is highly recommended for the evening - especially when a place outside is wanted...

“Worth a detour”
Reviewed March 16, 2012

If I were to run a restaurant in another life. I would want it to be like this - with the warm, enveloping atmosphere of people enjoying themselves and savouring their food. We sampled the week's specials (the lamb and the fish) - both excellent - and splurged on one of their gorgeous desserts (a perfect parfait). Generous helpings, attentive and friendly waiters, prices low to mid range. It was quite crowded on a week-day, so calling ahead (219 12 405) I think would be advisable on a week-end. A must if you're in the Schöneberg area, worth a detour if you're not. U-bahn (U 4) just outside the door.

“Decent Swabian Cuisine”
Reviewed July 23, 2011

This restaurant offers decent Swabian (southwest German) cuisine. The dishes on the menu are authentic everyday fare, and the taste is fine. Portions are very large.

“super quality for very reasonable price”
Reviewed May 22, 2011

We had a meal here because we were in the Viktoria Louise Platz early in the evening.
When we noticed all tables had been reserved we first thought it to be a trick, but the filled up very soon after our arrival. The food tasted so well taht we diced to return again two days later. The meats are very good in the restaurant and so are the starters and the deserts. They serve a speciality called Maultaschen (like giant ravioli) that was something that will not be everybodies taste.
Had 3 corse meals with 3 persons (including wine) for around EUR 90,--
Great Riesling-sekt (german champagne)
If you limit yorself on the number of glasses of wine the bill will stay very nice.
