The tour claims to be english speaking but the guide has a thick german accent so it might as well be germany. will take you past reichstage, berlin wall & checkpoint charlie.

“Yellow "City-circle" bus tour. Avoid!”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

We did not see the fine print in their brochure that said the last bus was at 3:30 p.m. They don' start till 10:00 so really, you got 5 hours window. If you "hop off", good luck hopping back in. Bus stops are not marked and when we tried to flag one down, drivers just shrugged us off. Also, do not try talking to drivers hoping to get some help. One driver told us that he was about to have a shift change so he would not talk to us. Then, during the tour, the bus drivers would randomly take a break making us set idly in ugly spot with nothing to see. There are other choices. We were kicking ourselves when we saw red city tour buses and green busses running past 8:00 p.m. full of passengers and we took a cab back to a hotel.

“2 hours of traffic and bad music”
Reviewed July 22, 2012

We thought a bus tour of Berlin would be a good way to get an overview of the city and learn a bit of its history, so we got a one-day pass for the City-Circle Sightseeing bus. What a disappointment! The audioguide had very little information about the city and mostly played elevator music. We were re-routed away from many of the main attractions (e.g. Brandenburg gate) due to traffic. The only good points were that you could hop-on and hop-off again to see the sights at your own pace and the bus does take you to the East Side Gallery section of the Berlin Wall. However, we could have accomplished the same tour for 1/5 the price using public transportation and not wasted our time sitting in traffic. I would not recommend this tour.

“One of the best ways to see Berlin”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

There are many walking and other tours available in Berlin for those who have the stamina and energy to walk several hours. My wife and I are not able to do that and the hop on hop off yellow buses is one of the best ways to see the city. Unlike what some other reviewers say, the buses very well marked and hard to miss. A ticket costs € 20 good for 48 hours. The full trip takes a good three hours. From our hotel Hampton by Hilton (from where we got the tickets) it is less than two blocks for the starting point bus stand in Kurferstendamm. Following the advice of a friend from the hotel, we took the trip twice. On the first day we made notes on where all to stop and on the second day we stopped at all those places for as long as we wanted. Please note Reichstag needs advance tickets. Otherwise we stopped at Check Point Charlie, the Wall, Jewish Museum, Brandenburg Gate etc. We could not have seen the city of Berlin, as much as we did, otherwise. By the way the buses start 10 a.m. from Kurferstendamm and run every ten minutes. If you get off enroute, within ten minutes you will get another hop on hop off bus. We found this very convenient. Also, the headsets worked marvelously with tour guides in several languages. We believe this is one of the best ways to see any city.
