By the time we got to the Augustiner, without reservations, the entire downstairs was full so we ended up in an upper room where the wall was lined with pictures of newly-weds going back at least a hundred years. The (initial) service was fast, the roast pork dishes were delicious, and the Augustiner beer was great. Even though our room filled up rapidly, people came and went fairly fast as well. Our only problem was when we ordered the large cheese plate for dessert. Even though the main dishes came out almost immediately, somehow the cheese got held up for about half an hour which spoiled the experience a bit. Overall, though, good German food and beer.
