This is a hotel that keeps its promises. Located in a prosperous neighborhood, surrounded by traditional private city housing, we found a very friendly staff, comfortable room, brilliant bathroom, cosy pool, fine sauna and an excellent breakfast.
What should you know? Booking for late arrival - they have a key box that will allow you access to your room at any time, but you should get the instructions beforehand.
The car park is behind the hotel in Bayernallee.
There is well water in the spa available, just look around and you can't miss it. Tastes very fine.

Room Tip: There are "Street rooms" and "Quiet rooms" - actually the street is not a busy a...

Due to late incoming flights we did not arrive until 01:30 in the morning. I got rather skeptical when I saw that the hotel was closed for the night. Standing outside in a not so busy street in the middle of the night and bad weather is not what you kneed after some hours of traveling.
Luckily there was a watchman outside who showed us a key deposit safe on the backside of the hotel. After 3 minutes we were in our room.
The staff was incredibly helpful as we were missing a suitcase. They took over the communication with the airport office, for which we were very grateful.
Unfortunately were did not have time to try the pool, but I´m sure it´s great too.
The room was nice and clean and a rather large and nice bathroom.

Convenient location, neat Theodor- Heuss-Platz U bahn.

Just got back from Berlin, from Hotel Villa Kastania. My wife's sister had chosen this hotel for her wedding party. You never get a second chance to make a first impression and.......they did not need a second chance: we checked in early, no problem, clean, a very clean hotel: inside and outside, clean ashtrays, terras clean, and pool and fitness area: clean, cleaner the cleanest. Room: beds good, balcony perfect, bathroom ok. Restaurant: breakfast little bit overpriced, but good start for the day and friendly staff. Restaurant: The Chef and his crew know their job, big respect, we had a dinner with 24 " friends nd family " and the service crew did a very good job, till early in the morning, to the crew leader: lady you know your thing, and know how to handle hospitallity, keep up the good work. Location close to the Berlin Messe, U bahnhof T.Heuss Platz, nice neighbourhood, Olympic stadium, So if we are going back to Berlin, we will go again! Keep up the good work, and your identity. All the best from Switzerland.

Glad we picked this hotel. Nice to get slightly away from busier streets. We had a double room with balcony overlooking a quiet leafy suburban street. The room and balcony were shady and cool in the evening which was pleasant after a busy day. Others might prefer a sunnier position for the evening - if that is important to you, choose a room at the back of the hotel. The hotel was a little old fashioned in terms of decor but we didn't mind that. The whole place was extremely clean. Great bathroom. Room well serviced everyday. Breakfasts in the small restaurant were of a high standard with a surprising amount of choice, though at €15 each per day, there were cheaper alternatives nearby but we were happy to stay put and enjoyed the wide range on offer. Negatives? Well, like a lot of German hotels, there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but my wife enquired about the possibility and they provided a kettle same day. My wife had her own cup, tea bags and sweeteners and was happy. We were promised a room next to one for our two teenage sons but, despite having phoned ahead to confirm this, when we got there, they were two rooms away for some reason. They were old enough for this not to matter however - we didn't enquire or complain - we're British after all! The swimming pool was a real bonus - tiny but not busy. Small sauna, steam room, plunge pool and chill out zone too. Warning - Germans are not as bashful as us so adult nudity in this area to be expected it turns out.
On the whole a really nice hotel, located 10mins from U-Bahn station. In the more residential western side of the city so a fair trip to some busier areas like Alexanderplatz and Potsdamer Platz but we were glad to be that little bit away from the hustle and bustle. A weekly ticket covering the U and S Bahns also worked on buses and trams and were brilliant for us. Hotel was conveniently located for the Olympic Stadium and al attractions to the west.

Stayed at the hotel last weekend with my husband. I booked this hotel especially as we wanted to be closer to the Olympic Stadium that the city centre, yet still accessible via the great U Bahn.

The area is quite residential and very leafy but the hotel is within a couple of minutes walk of the Theodor-Heuss-Platz U Bahn.

The hotel lobby is quite small but is in keeping with the size of the hotel. The staff are very polite and helpful and speak excellent English.

We were checked in very quickly and were give a room on the ground floor, number 6. The room was very spacious and had it's own private garden with a table and chairs, very nice for sitting outside in the evening. On this note it appears that all the rooms have their own balcony.

The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern with two wash basins and a very good rain shower. The furnishings and decor are to a very high standard.

At all times the service was excellent, although we did not have time to use the spa facilities.

Breakfast is available at an extra cost and we did venture on one day. I had an amazing salmon and eggs but my husband is not into buffet food so it was not for him.

We dined in the hotels restaurant; Marron on one evening and sat outside. The service was first class and the food was excellent and plentiful.

This hotel is ideal for couples and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a smaller personal hotel.

Room Tip: Some ground floor rooms have their own private garden

I had booked my room online, had pre-payed an extra fee (Euro 35,-) for "guaranteed early check-in", and was looking forward to a nice bath tub (according to room description) after a long international flight.
Upon arrival, the receptionist "welcomed" me by claiming that no rooms are ready yet. Only after some discussion, she suddenly found one nevertheless. Not very professional...
This (tiny) room had a shower only, no bath tub (as advertised on the website). Second disappointment.
Considering their hefty room rates and their attitude as distinguished family-run property, this should not have happened.
To be fair, here are the pro's: location in Westend, a leavy upmarked neighborhood not too far from the centre. Most rooms come with their own balcony, nicely furnished. Wifi is free and works OK. Ample public transport options from nearby Theodor-Heuss-Platz.
Would I stay there again? Considering their unprofessional service at professional rates, probably not.

Room Tip: Insist to get the room you have booked.

Although the price for this hotel is similar to other hotels in the direct city center, it has certain its advantages for a vacation spent in Berlin - it is rather small and thus cozy and you get this personal attention from staff, e.g. by day 3 they had learnt how we want our coffee :); it lies in a very quiet area, thus you can be sure to sleep undisturbed by traffic or similar. The spa center is great if you have time to enjoy it. Although the pool is small, there are two type of saunas, thus you can relax very well. Breakfast is delicious and if the weather allows, you can sit outside on the nice terrace. The hotel is localted very close to a metro station, and it only takes a few stops until Zoo or shopping street Kurfurstendamm or Charlottenburg palace.
As the hotel does not have air condition, it can become too hot in a hot summer, thus I wouldnt recommend it in such weather conditions.
