“reliable yummy Italian food”
Reviewed October 31, 2011

We have been going to Gusto for the last couple of years every 6 or 8 weeks or so. It's a very nice small restaurant with terrific food. A very good value as well! I can recommend the Caprese Salad, the pizza, all of them, are fantastic and their steaks and other meat dishes are also great.
This is not a place for your ultimate romantic evening but it's perfect for families and it is not touristy. It is located in a very residential part of West Berlin, near the Olivar Platz.

“Great Pizza”
Reviewed January 12, 2011

We just had some great pizzas at Gusto which we discovered on our way from the nearby Charite hospital. The quattro stagione pizza was probably the best I ever had, the mushroom pizza also came close.
Gusto is located in the ground floor of a rather new building. The premises are therefore rather plain: four corners, rectangular layout and low ceiling. The furniture somehow makes up for that with heavy, naturally looking tables.
In addition to pizza there is a wide variety of pasta and a changing daily menu. When we were there it offered boars and some fishes. The mixed antipasti we had for starters were rather small, the size of the pizzas made up for that, though.
There are some decent and affordable wines. Half a liter of apple spritzer comes at an affordable 2,80 Euro.
Our waiter was attentive, nice and tried to be funny. The color of his shirt was a pain in our eyes, though: some kind of piercing green. His pony tail could also use some attention.

“Very Italian in all respects”
Reviewed November 3, 2010

A knowledge of Italian rather than German may get you further with the waiter here (although you won't have any problem ordering in English either). Excellent food from a good menu. They do serve pizza but the range of Italian food is much wider. It is very convenient for the Hotel Bregenz (about 100m away). We enjoyed eating here and were pleased with the cost.
