£20 per night including breakfast is unbelievable. Great friendly staff and very clean. Tram 5 minutes walk and then 20 minutes to centre of Berlin so not a problem being out in the east. If you want great value in Berlin not sure you could beat it. Great breakfast as well.

We stayed there for nine nights. We found the service, facilities and breakfast absolutely satisfactory. Particularly the price for a family with a kid really suited us! Yes, we were very happy with the hotel. We are grateful to the hotel management for all that!

As Comfort Inn's go this is on par and American's will find comfort in the service and product. A little way out of town but on the M6 and M17 tram route which puts you anywhere in about 20 mins. Free above average breakfast with hot and cold items... If you have children the bowling alley at 13 Euros per hour is nice. Food is really only frozen pizza's but they were cheap and eatable with large glasses of beer. Draw backs are no pool and no AC... When we were there it was 28 or 80 what ever way you look at it and the room was to warm, windows only open a fraction and made for a long night. Also not that it was a huge problem but TV only has German channels and CNN out of England so if your trying to get ready or have to head back to the room with kids, CNN is laughable at the best of times. WiFi is not free in the rooms and is 8 Euros i believe. Some people have mentioned no places to eat around the hotel other than IKEA but if you go no more than 4 stops west on one tram or south on the other there are cafes and shopping.... All in all great place to base a few night stay....

Belated review....We stayed here for 5 nights over New Years period.

Great base for exploring Berlin. Situated in Lichtenberg, not a lot to do in the area but the hotel is comfortable, reasonably priced and good staff on hand.

Fantastic choice at breakfast. Toast cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, cold meats, pastries, tea&coffee, orange juice.

Rooms are basic but a good size. Cleaned regularly and thoroughly.

Bowling alley on site serving drinks and pizza.

Free wifi available in lobby.

Very friendly staff on hand to advise on tram times, tourist info.

Tram stop directly outside to the left, travels into the heart of the city in 15 minutes - Alexanderplatz

Our family of 5 stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Berlin. As others have mentioned there isn't alot to do around the hotel area. We went over to Ikea for dinner both nights where they have cheap nice food, otherwise I would suggest eating in the city before coming back to the hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy and we had a great view from our 16th floor room. They have windows that open up which would be a worry if you have young kids. There is no aircon so you really do need to open the windows if it gets warm. It is very easy to get to the city on the great network of trams. A couple of things we didn't like was no wifi in the rooms so you had to go to the lobby and the other thing was the mattresses are in urgent need of replacement, all the mattresses looked like they had been run over by a roller and have never regained their shape. Breakfast is OK and kept our family happy. A bonus was 10 pin bowling at the hotel which kept our family busy for a couple of hours at the end of the day. There is free parking, overall I would recommend.

Me and my boyfriend recently spent three nights at the Comfort Hotel. We got a really good deal through a budget airline site. This is an ideal place to stay if you are just after a base - as there is nothing around the hotel other than office blocks, apartment blocks and mega stores (the view from the window was Ikea). The breakfast was great - a good start to a days exploring the city. Cereals, Breads, Cold Meats, Sausages, Bacon, strange scrambled eggs. The room was basic, a double consisting of two single beds pushed together. The room was a bit hot (which wasn't always a bonus - even though it was freezing outside). But that was my only complaint. The tram stop (Landsberger Allee - Rhinestrasse) is 2 minutes walk from the hotel, and took about 30 minutes to get to the centre Alexanderplatz on the M6. On two nights we grabbed a drink from the hotel bar, the second time the language barrior was against me! There is also a bowling alley in the hotel bar. For the price I would stay here again.
