We stayed for a weekend and had booked a superior twin bedroom. The room was fine, until there was a leakage with an interesting smell in the bathroom. We got another room, but not as nice as the first one. Breakfast was good with lots of options, but it was quite crowded. I think the best thing with the hotel was the location which is close to public transport, restaurants and bars in Friedrichain, and the roof terrace. And of course: it is good value for money!

The hotel is situated in a very quiet zone of Berlin, and this is a plus mainly if you want to sleep well. The room are very clean and large enough, the bathroom is average. Wireless connection is missing, and even slippers should have been present ( but they weren't ). The staff is good, but the best side of the hotel is the buffet breakfast, really huge with cheeses, jams, meats, fruits, cakes, breads, hams all in great variety. Obviously you can have sausages, eggs and so on. The hotel is at 7 minutes walk from Warschaue Strasse S+U station, which leads you in Berlin center in 5 minutes. In addition, the hotel is at 10 minutes walk from the longest part of Berlin's wall, beautifully painted after the end of the cold war. Globally, very good choice to live Berlin in the best way.

We picked this location since it was close to the folk we were visiting but it was a good choice. The hotel is clean convenient (for S-Bahn), reasonably priced and the staff friendly and helpful. The area is awash with excellent local restaurants and coffee shops, we hired biked from the end of the street and re-discovered the freedom of cycling in a city where the bike is careered for safely and is largely flat.

Room Tip: Some of the double rooms are a little small but all are adequate and quiet - we were next to a lift shaft and did not realise until we left

Clean rooms in a fab location at a very accommodating price! We were impressed and surprised by the room, breakfast buffet and location considering the low price we’d paid.

Berlin’s best 60 bars and restaurants just up the road. There’s a station that’ll take you the heart of Berlin just 2 minutes away or it’s a 20Euro cab trip into town. Its only flaw was the lack of air-con, but considering the climate Germany is used to, we’d understand why it’s not a priority. I will definitely be staying here again.

Friedrichshain is one of my favourite areas of Berlin and the hotel is just perfect to live in the neighbourhood. No-nonsense stylish, clean and comfortable, it also provides a wonderful breakfast in the morning.
