Worth the visit. A lot of information and memorial installations. Great to combine when exploring the city on a rented bike.

As with most of the sites I visited in Berlin, this one needs much improvement, but shouldn't be missed! It truly is the best place to experience the Wall.

I felt that this was one of the few places in Berlin that really focused on those who perished trying to escape the GDR. This is a much more somber location than the pieces of wall in Postdam Platz or the Eastside Gallery. When you look at the faces of those who died, you finally feel some connection to the terror and horror of oppression. Despite some negative reviews here, I believe this site provides a better understanding of what the Wall really meant and stood for than most of the other 'displays' in the city. I believe that this is a must see when visiting Berlin.

Saw this wall go up in 1961 not much left anymore but what's left is now a painted picture gallery .

The Berlin Wall was testament to the times before countries actually realised that they could sort things out without separating families, friends and loved ones. The memorial is an excellent reminder and tribute to those times, let's hope they don't return.
