The Berlin Philharmonic is perhaps not the classic Jugendstil or Barrok opera house, but its renown for its impeccable acoustics, and you will not be dissapointed. Absolutely stunning experience. Especially when S. Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra is playing. They are mindblowing. If you sit further down you feel like siting wtihin the orchestra. But even somewhat higher up the acoustic is great.

“Architecture and Music”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

The Berlin Philharmonic (concert hall) is one of Sharoun fine buildings, directly in the center of Berlin - beautiful golden sight from the outside. ask for a guided tour, its not cheap but good to hear about the technical way they built the hall to achieve a really great acoustic.
i book usually via internet the tickets for a concert, but its difficult with a true highlight (specials). best is than to go directly to the Philharmonie and queue up in front of the box office (inside the building) - they are very friendly and helpful.
besides the philharmonie is a smaller Sharoun building: its the Kammerkonzertsaal, more music available .
Book guided tours for little money.

“Their own (unmatched) league”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

I am not attempting to review the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
The only recommendation is try to obtain a good seat (usually well in advance) so you can marvel the harmonized technique.

“Attending a concert in Berliner Philharmonie”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

I have been a number of times (perhaps 15) and the atmosphere is great. Coming straight from the office my colleagues and I were in casual gear BUT you find a mixture of casual and very formal, sophisticated dress. And why not?
The attendees were out to enjoy themselves and the music.
Being classical music orientated myself, I found the people fascinating, the visit really enjoyable

Excellent accoustic and view from any place, intersting perspectives onto stage and musicians. Everytime it is stunning again
