“Such a treat from pork overload!”
Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

We checked with trip advisor and found this gem. Having been in Eastern Europe for several weeks this was a treat! We remembered how wonderful beef was in Argentina from two past visits. This place was a delight! The staff was pleasant, efficient and personable. They were wearing black gloves on their right hands. I enquired why this custom and it was because of the cutlery! Our starter was a salad of tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and balsamic glaze. The ribeye was done to perfection, tender, juicy and flavorful. The potato croquettes were light and delicious. We enjoyed a Malbec from Argentina and were delighted with the quality and not overpricing as we have encountered in Eastern Europe! A evening to savor!

“Excellent restaurant, helpful staff”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

We went along here for a bit of a posher dinner than our previous (excellent) meal at the Stadtklause, as its also really close to the SuiteHotel. It was our last evening in Berlin, so we were a bit later than normal heading out - it was about half eight before we reached the restaurant. We managed to get a table for 3 OK, but were advised there might be a short wait for the mains - not so we noticed.

We started off with a portion of nachos, cream of tomato soup and meatballs, along with a bottle of water and 0.5L of cracking white Rioja. Some fresh bread and olive oil were also delivered to the table.

For mains, I had a larger fillet steak with pepper sauce, my daughter had a similar, though smaller, cut and my wife had the "mixed grill" - chicken, pork and beef. The steaks were absolutely perfect - cooked just as ordered, no waste and really tasty.

The menus were only in German, but the waiter was really helpful, and it wasn't that difficult to understand. Came to around £60 all in - which was ridiculously good value, and the waiting staff got an excellent tip for their help.

Good vibe, food and service. We didn't book and were lucky to get the last table for 2. We would definitely recommend it.
