An excellent hotel in the heart of Berlin, conveniently situated close to the Brandenburg gate and the Reichstag. Good first impressions, with smiling doormen ready to help with luggage, or call cabs for you. Check-in was fast and smooth. Plenty of lifts to choose from, large enough for luggage. Rooms are arranged around a circular landing, with a glass dome above, making it look very attractive. Good size rooms, furniture in good condition. Extra charge for internet was a bit irritating - I expect this to be free in a hotel of this quality. Bathroom spotless, nice toiletries, plenty of fluffy towels. The bar downstairs was rather nice - the weather was excellent so we were able to sit outside for cocktails, a really nice place to sit and people watch. Overall, a typical hotel of this type, perhaps a bit impersonal, but good facilities and very well located.

We recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Everything that woulod be expected from a great hotel was provided. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Service was impeccable and the staff was always friendly. Great place to stay.

Rooms looking on Friederickstrasse have also a glimpse of Unter den Linden Strasse. Easy distance to the metro or station of the bus to the airport.
Very friendly staff of the bar in the lobby, definitely recommend having a drink there. Sadly the price didn't include the internet, but the room was spacious and clean.

We got a great bargain for staying at the Westin Grand, and we knew the stay would be memorable after having stayed at other westin hotels previously. The hotel is located in the heart of Berlin's city center at the corner of Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse.

We had a wonderful stay, enjoying very much the quiet of the spa and fitness area. My wife was pregnant, and on the last day of the trip we were able to keep the room without additional costs untill 5 pm.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a perfect hotel in the middle of Berlin.

My husband and I travel all over the world, and have never had such a negative experience. We are Gold Starwood members and have such excellent service and are treated like royalty with all Starwood Hotels, for the exception of The Westin, Berlin. I would never stay there again, nor recommend it to anyone. The staff on checking in was extremely rude, and wouldn’t upgrade us, as it is customary with Gold Members. When I had to ask if we had an upgraded room the recptionist ignored me. I had to ask again, and he said he was looking. The hotel was not sold out, and could very easily upgrade us! In checking into the room, there was a wrinkled breakfast menu that had been filled out by a prior guest lying on the bed. The room was not very clean, and there was hair in the bathtub. When turning on the shower, the maid left the showerhead pointed toward the center of the bathroom, which soaked the bathroom floor and me on turning it on. There was used toilet paper on the toilet paper roll. The maid service didn’t issue new soap bars, or shampoo, so we had to call and request it. The front desk would not print our boarding pass, and charged us $5 Euros to use their internet to print them, while other hotels had free internet service and printed our passes at no charge. I left a message for the manager upon leaving informing him of the dissatisfied service, and never had a reply. I see that others had a good experience, however ours was very bad, and I would caution anyone thinking of making reservations there.

Dear Mrs. H., thank you once again for publishing your feedback to your recent stay with us.
As already discussed with you directly via email we are very unhappy that we did not fulfil your expectations. We are surprised that the upgrade given to you was not recognized by you as such. We are also surprised that you had such a negative impression about the cleanliness and tidiness of your room. Unfortunately we did not know until our email communication. Please be assured that if we would have known about the issues during your stay, we would have taken corrective steps immediately.
As we have also tried to explain we are not allowed to print boarding passes for security reasons. The unfortunate charge of 5.00 € for using the business centre has been waived in the meantime. Of course, we do sincerely regret your impression about our staff. Again we will definitely evaluate your comment with the team members involved, in order to improve.
