While the location of this hotel is superb and the public areas very luxurious, the upgraded room was a disappointment. The Queen bed turned out to be two singles pushed together and the mattresses were so bad that we asked for boards to be placed under them. We were assured these were the Westin heavenly beds!! When my husband questioned the lack of pay t.v., he was told that this was one of the rooms that did not have it. The front desk staff were quite nonchalant about our complaints.
Despite these problems with the hotel, we found Berlin an unique experience on many levels. We would recommend at least a five day visit for first-timers.More
