“Loved it!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

I admit I visited only when I went to berlin with my daughter, but it was a great surprise. Sometimes it seems to walk in the wood rather than in a city park. It's huge and very well kept, clean and safe. Of course it is recommended if you travel with children, but it's a nice break from the city lifestyle and concrete and steel landscape.

“Just Relax”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Grab a beer and a brat and just walk. We walked for hours and could have kept going. Best way to soak up culture and enjoy the beauty of this park in the center of such a large city. Watch out -- there is some nude sunbathing going on!

“With good weather - bring a book!”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

Amazing park. Huge and full of things to see.
Scalptures, lakes, hidden corners with flowers and streams and cute little cafe's.
Take a sunny afternoon, bring a book and lay on the grass for a couple of hour as the Berliners do!

“Good exercise”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

The Tiergarten is the Berlin equivelent to Hyde Park in London. there is a feeling of space and you could forget just where you are. There is a lot of history surrounding the park including its origins with royalty and hunting, then moving on to allowing part of it to be used as a nudist colony. Many interesting aspects.

“Magnificent city park - rent a bike and enjoy!!”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

We rented bikes and spent 2-3 hours riding around the Tiergarden on a fantastic fall afternoon. I would highly recommend this if you are visiting Berlin. We took the subway to the Zoo and found a bike rental place on the street. It costs about 10 euro to rent a bike for a day. Its really easy and they are really friendly. All the places work together so you can get help (we needed no help) easily if you need it. There are not really helmets - very few people seem to use them and there are always clearly defined places for the bikes to be.

The Tiergarden is huge and this is the best way to see it. In a few hours on a bike you can explore virtually the whole thing and there is a lot of the thing. There is a way to enter that runs along the back of the zoo where you can actually view a good number of the animal enclosures - pretty cool.

This was one of the \most funt things that we did in Berlin and I would recommend it to anyone.
